It turns out Moses never gave Jeb Bush a rifle.
The Republican presidential candidate has told crowds several times in the past year about receiving the National Rifle Association's Statesman of the Year award from Charlton Heston, the late Hollywood legend and former leader of the gun rights group who once played Moses in a movie.
"You know who you're lookin' at here? You're looking at the guy who won the NRA Statesman of the Year award," Bush said last month at a town hall in Milford, N.H. "Not the Florida award. The national award. And I got a rifle from Charlton Heston, I got a rifle from Moses."

well, at least he’s not a good liar like rubio.
Oh Good Lord. He’s turned into a full blown Dim-o-crat. Even worse, a CLINTON!
He lied about something minor, several times, for political pandering and points.
He felt he had to lie. About a stupid little fake thing.
Yeah this guy should be president. We need another fuching liar there.
I think anyone who wants to be president if they run and lose the race, or their party’s nomination, they lose a finger.
Jebbie was just trying to top the Sir Edmund Hillary lie, but it never works out for a “shrub”.
I had totally forgotten about GHWB giving up his NRA membership c. 1990.
What’s he being diluted with?
So, fake but accurate!
The Washington Post is going after Jeb for the equivalent of jay walking while pretending Bill Clinton was ‘having an affair’ with a woman he raped? (credible according to the FBI report).
ARE THEY NUTS?
Go away Washington Post... move to a smaller place then go out of business... and I’m NOT even a Bush supporter...I’m backing Trump...
As a Jeb! supporter, I would like to call out this report as a BIG LIE. Jeb! stated that he was given a rifle by CHARLESTON Heston, first cousin of Charlton. Close but no cigar, you Jeb! haters!
There is a long list of Jebbie supporters on Wikipedia under presidential endorsements. Kind of hard to find it. This one links to Rubio, who has quite a bit of backing too.
