Former National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor addressed Fox News Special Report host Bret Baier as "dude" Thursday and said he could hardly remember how he helped change the Benghazi talking points because it was "two years ago."
The previously unreleased White House emails this week revealed a coordinated attempt to protect President Barack Obama during the 2012 election campaign and place the blame for the terrorist attack on the anti-Islamic YouTube video and not a "broader failure of policy."
Baier pressed Vietor on his role in changing the talking points by adding a line about the administration warning the day before the attacks of "social media reports calling for demonstrations," in order to bolster the false idea that the attack was the spontaneous result of a riot against the video. Vietor affirmed this, but when Baier asked him if he'd changed "attacks" to "demonstrations," he got amnesia.
"Dude, this was like two years ago," Vietor said. "We're still talking about the most mundane process."
"Dude," Baier sarcastically shot back, "it is the thing that everybody is talking about."
Vietor's math is also off. The attack that killed four Americans took place Sept. 11, 2012, less than 20 months ago.

Thank you for the clarification. Thought I had remembered the DUDE reference when this was seen live on FOX news that night. There are certain words that jar the memory cells. This dude used one.
And THIS is an example of the best and brightest that the Obama Administration attracted to civil service.
The next President needs to clean the entire house, all of it.
I can still clearly remember The Cold and Joyless one standing in front of those coffins declaring: “...over an awful Internet video, that we had NOTHING... to do with.”
As well as emphatically telling the parents of these brave men that the filmmaker would be arrested and prosecuted.
More importantly, it’s Old News now, and is interfering with getting mrs bill enthroned in the White House with BJ as First Lecher.

Seeing this is exactly how these people feel...
They don’t give a rats butt for any of us, they are into themselves so far they don’t know what day or planet they are on...and if don’t think the House and Senate is any better, think again...the ‘new and approved’ Speaker of the House just kissed their butts, was he thinking about us, NO just what they could do for him...

Unfortunately, BDS is not an affliction easily cured, and moreover those affected are more likely than not to refuse any help (such as the pointing out of facts) to assist them in suppressing their symptoms and achieving better clarity of thought.
Most welcome. The video is most informative. Watch how the mouthpiece suddenly has no clear recollection of certain things when Brett presses him on it. Plus, it’s been three years now so I would imagine he has little recollection of the incident at all if someone were to enquire.
