Throw ISLAM in the garbage, accept Christ, Become a Christian Family.
However, now they are under the glare of worldwide scrutiny and the media reveal what the media want to reveal, that is, what sells the best.
The media wouldn't expound on the good part of their culture. Why would they? Who cares? Folks revel in the bizarre. The fact that they are so old a culture says that SOMEthing worked for them.
There are wealthy folks there, making most of their money from drugs...which they sell to the West.
Those who emigrate will find almost nothing in common with the West save for a vertebral column and brain stem.
Islam is of the devil. Life and love has absolutely no meaning in Islamic culture. It is pay pay pay, pain, suffering, submit, suffer, die.
Only in Christ can you be set free.
Overcoming? Taqyyia ... for Western consumption. Buy it and be ready to learn the joys of conversion, of Sharia. Good news for all those women who can’t seem to tell the difference between Christainity and Islam ... you too can become some guy’s property.
I read the article, as long as it was. Riveting story.
I saw a few glimmers of reflection here and there from the author when contemplating his Islamic faith. He had the perspective of time to observe the Taliban aspect, the compulsive stridency, adherence past the point of being cruel and unfeeling toward others.
He saw the dysfunctionality of a faith that allows little boys to publically humiliate and command their mothers to behave in certain ways.
What I did not see in the article, was a concious and purposeful rejection of Sharia. I suppose every process must have it’s starting point, however minute.
Islam’s moderation will never happen in the West. It will have to happen in their own countries.
All islam is radical islam.
There are just ‘backslid’ muslims who aren’t killing the infidel right NOW.
You have no idea if they will hear the one phrase at next weeks prayers that will radicalize them.
Or they get afraid of ‘hell’ and the ‘sins’ they’ve committed and decide to guarantee their entry into heaven by blowing themselves up in a crowd of infidels.
But moreover, you can’t guarantee any of their descendants won’t do such a thing. ‘Because Islam’.
It’s a bad bet to invite ANY muslims, even the ‘non practicing moderates’ who drink, go to strip joints and eat pig. Because taqiyya, kitman and other practices of deceit they’re allowed to use to trick the infidel long enough to gain numerical/political superiority.
I grew up in a country that’s 50% muslim. Friends of ours there think the US is absolutely nuts for letting in ANY ‘refugees’. Ie, Islamic migrants.

The Pashtuns (Pathans to the British) are unique. One theory is that they are the oldest continuous ethno-linguistic culture on Earth. They have a strong identity that they promote among themselves - Pashtun first, more than being muslim or Afghan or anything else.
They follow the Pashtunwali - the code of the Pashtuns. They value being good hosts, protecting those in their care, maintaining their honor, and exacting revenge for offenses (even if it takes generations). As they say, if it takes a hundred years to get revenge, you are rushing it.
Winston Churchill said about them: “The Pathan tribes are always engaged in private or public war. Every man is a warrior, a politician and a theologian. Every large house is a real feudal fortress....Every family cultivates its vendetta; every clan, its feud.... Nothing is ever forgotten and very few debts are left unpaid.”
It is a pretty rough culture - they try to toughen up the boys, and the man of the house traditionally rules like a tyrant.
On the plus side, they are real stand up guys when they are on your side, like the guy who gave refuge to Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell, popularized in the movie “Lone Survivor”. They are emblematic of the extraordinary resistance to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan - fighting on for a decade despite armor blitzkrieg, carpet bombing, mass mining, extensive secret police and the torture chambers at Pol-i-Charki.
BS, a lot of these so-called “refugees” are Radical Islamists.
And we should help them overcome it. That doesn’t mean we need to let them overrun our country, however.
Islam is the problem.
It’s all in their book.
It has always been a religion of war, conquest and slavery.
There can be no peace until there is only Islam.
Or no Islam.
