That is very good, except it is not his “staff” that will be attacked, it is Cruz. And yes, he will be attacked, because that is the way politics are, and all the other candidates will be attacked.

He also said this, directed to a much larger group:

“If we awaken and energize the body of Christ- if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values- we will win and we will turn the country around,” Cruz told volunteers on a conference call Tuesday.”

“we” is a collective pronoun meaning you and me. “You” refers to Christians, “me” refers to Cruz, i.e. Cruz will win.

On the other hand NOT DEPORTING ALL ILLEGALS FIRST, is a form of amnesty. Cruz is against rounding up all illegals and deporting them first. He wants a path to legal status for illegals. That is a deal breaker for me.

You're posting the same 2013 video as the other poster. Both Cruz and Sessions have claimed that Cruz was trying to sell his poison pill amendments. You can disbelieve Cruz and Sessions and believe what you want about that video, that's fine.

But you ignore Cruz's position against a legalization amnesty starting from Jan. 2014 on.

And you ignore Trump's position on the issue, even as late as July 24th 2015, where he was asked what to do with the "11 million" here. He didn't say that we should expedite a few back and deport the rest. He only mentioned deportation for the criminals.

Except that if you listen carefully to what he actually says, it is crystal clear he is carrying out his poison pill strategy. He's calling the bluff. The Gang of Eight was trying to pitch the bill on the premise that we can't let all these poor illegals hide in the shadows. So Cruz comes along and says, OK, what if the only thing we take off the table is citizenship, so they can never vote. But we do the amendment such that we can let them have some temporary permit status (RPI etc) that accomplishes what you say you want, getting them out of the shadows. Would you agree to that? And of course the answer was a resounding NO, because the Gang of Eight was not being straight with the American people. Citizenship was the true goal after all, and Cruz gamed them into admitting it publicly. It is truly one of the stronger reasons I like him.

Maybe so, but as I said where I vote it doesn't matter the races are decided before one vote is counted and that includes the general as well as the primary. I was not true to myself with that vote and I have personally repented and promised to write in the next election because I doubted there would be a choice again this time, but Trump has changed my mind. Again I doubt Cruz will get past the Primary and I haven't been wrong about the winner since Dewey beat Truman.

Two votes: TPA and the Corker bill nullifies what you just said you believe. I don’t hate Cruz, I just do not trust him of those two votes and some of the You-tube videos with him discoursing on immigration. And his refusal to support a moratorium on Muslim immigration, etc.
