“And this, I believe, is why Cruz is admonishing his staff to put on the whole armour of God, to attain the godly wisdom and guidance to withstand false attacks that originate from the pit of Hell.”
That is very good, except it is not his “staff” that will be attacked, it is Cruz. And yes, he will be attacked, because that is the way politics are, and all the other candidates will be attacked.
He also said this, directed to a much larger group:
“If we awaken and energize the body of Christ- if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values- we will win and we will turn the country around,” Cruz told volunteers on a conference call Tuesday.”
“we” is a collective pronoun meaning you and me. “You” refers to Christians, “me” refers to Cruz, i.e. Cruz will win.

This is a very unfruitful discussion as these points seem obvious, but I will say one more thing — while obviously it’s Cruz who will be under attack, the campaign staffers work for him, they are part of his team, and by extension, they will be under attack too. As such, they are admonished to put on the whole armor of God to help protect the campaign for which they work against such attacks.
