--(snip)--

Despite being the nation's third most populous city, Chicago far outpaces New York City, Los Angeles and every other large city in America in the sheer number of homicide and shooting victims, though it fares better than some smaller cities on a per capita comparison. Maybe the goal of 500 dead still could be reached if one of those shot dies this year from gunshot wounds received in 2015.

CHICAGO

Shot & Killed: 442
Shot & Wounded: 2553
Total Shot: 2995
Total Homicides: 499

They’re just getting revved up. 2015 won’t hold a candle to 2016. Just wait until they realize the first black president won’t get a third term.... maybe.
