Recalling the experience of 1939/1945, Blattman fears the increasing aggression in public discourse is an explosively hazardous situation, and advises the Swiss people to arm themselves and warns that the basis for Swiss prosperity is "being called into question."

Europe doesn’t have the cultural skills or history to assimilate such a large group of people, particularity now when it is already overflowing with them.
There are too many people in Europe willing to bend over backwards to accommodate foreigners, rather than insist that they merge with the population adopt the local customs and culture such as is the cases with EVERY OTHER IMMIGRANT in the world.

Only invaders refuses to assimilate, and Europe is by no means ever even pretended to be a land of immigrants. if you want to live in Europe learn and adopt the local customs, language, and culture. Work to blend in not stand out.
Here’s what I’m thinking, for what it’s worth: I can either get a cheap one (30-50), or not have one at all.
I also like the idea of being about to slip in ballistic plates, but looks like you need another vest specifically designed for that. Yeah, I'm a noob. lol
For now, I just need a way of carrying extra mags and stuff and still able to wear a backpack.

You're right, but it is a little dated.
Try Feuerkampf und Taktik: Taktischer Schusswaffengebrauch im 21. Jahrhundert for something more recent. Amazon has it.
Even better: get both, and compare the two. That Swiss fighting mindset is still there.
