Three high school basketball players from Tennessee have been charged with raping and assaulting a teammate while staying in a rental cabin for a tournament, officials said late Tuesday.
The male victim was hospitalized and had to undergo surgery "due to the extent of his injuries" after the Dec. 23 incident, according to local police.
The three suspects and the victim were all juveniles from Ooltewah High School, in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Their basketball team was in Gatlinburg, around 100 miles to the northeast, for a tournament, Gatlinburg Police Department said in a statement.
Gay midnight basketball?
Let’s hear the Amish names.
Brave New World created by Obama and the Democrats. Coming to a theater near you!
And what was the race of the victim?
Guess there were no ‘HAWT’ english teachers around?
Yikes. Other net sources say a pool cue was involved.
Well, I guess I know what tune will be going thru my head today.
I think they used a mop broom. I think they were trying to be funny but turned out the opposite. “Frat mentality” never did pass the smart test.
Rape? Basketball players??
A pool cue....
“One freshman was seriously injured when a pool cue was forced inside his rectum, puncturing his colon and the tip of the cue breaking off in his bladder, multiple sources told the Times Free Press.”
Dude needed surgery to remove the tip.

If this was my boy - I’d be facing murder charges in the very near future.
“the police have determined only three boys from the team were involved in the incident.”
So it’s a pretty good team overall, except for the rapists.
Where were the coaches??? They should be charged with a crime too, negligence or child endangerment at the least, because this happened when that kid was supposed to be under their supervision.
UPDATE: Gatlinburg, Tennessee police confirm three juveniles have been charged with aggravated rape and aggravated assault. They are being held in the Sevier County Juvenile Facility. A bond hearing is set for Wednesday, Dec. 30. The juveniles were members of the Ooltewah High School basketball team, and the victim is a freshman player. He was treated and released from UT Medical Center in Knoxville, after an eight-day stay. A family member tells Eyewitness News, “It was a horrific incident. His surgery went well, but he has a long road to recovery.” The family member says two other students were also assaulted, “but their injuries were not as serious.”
The three juveniles have been dismissed from the team, but county school officials say they will have no statement on punishment from the school district until after the holidays. The Ooltewah team continues to play in the Best of Preps classic, having played three games since the players were dismissed, with a home game scheduled for next week.
Juan on Juan?
No kidding. Same here.
The boy is expected to physically recover in 2-3 months, but his relative said he is having nightmares and that he thought he would die during the brutal incident.
I’m with you. I have 3 sons and a daughter and I’d be up for murder charges. My oldest goes to college next year.......in some ways, I feel like I am sending my son to war. (sorta the same feelings). Never would have thunk it. The colleges are out of control for the most part.
This is utterly despicable and these boys who did this are animals.
