Remember 5-year-old Sophie Cruz?
Groomed for a year by an outfit called the "Full Rights for Immigrants Coalition," Sophie is the ponytailed poster child for amnesty who was literally propped up in front of the pope during a September visit to Washington, D.C.
Latino activists brazenly bragged about training the first-grader before the visit and crafting a letter in her name pleading with the Catholic pontiff to help her rescue President Obama's executive illegal immigrant amnesty program DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents), which was halted under federal court order on May.
In The Washington Post, a Harvard University professor praised the kiddie human shield tactics of the amnesty movement after Sophie's stunt.
"Tactically really, it's one of those moves that is just brilliant," Roberto Gonzales, a Harvard University sociologist, told the Post reporter, Janell Ross. Ross marveled at the "power of personal narrative" and noted how the use of a child to deliver a political message had been "deployed to great effect."
Sophie Cruz's family now works with FWD.us, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's multi-million-dollar lobbying group, which just two weeks ago featured the girl in a high-profile ad campaign reading a fear-mongering script on "how her family would be ripped apart" if America got serious about deporting illegal border-crossers, visa overstayers, document fraudsters and criminal alien fugitives.
The Washington Post again provided positive coverage of little Sophie Cruz's latest foray in politics. The article attacked Republicans who support strict immigration enforcement and included a massive photo of the cute child, supplied by her father, coloring a "pro-immigration" propaganda picture for amnesty.
Now, imagine.

Michelle nails it for WaPo's Ann Telnaes, that phrase is right up there with "crap weasel."
Malkin is brilliant.

Go Michelle!

Zuckerberg + Francis, What strange bedfellows!
Can anyone here imagine Trump responding with a cartoon?
A cartoon?
No, there would have been a hellfire of angry attacks on the perps, and they would have been lucky to escape with their careers.
Cruz simply telegraphed how he would handle our enemies.
With cartoons.
Is THAT Presidential material?
I’m voting for Cruz or Trump, depending on who gets the nod. That being said, he responded TO a cartoon with a cartoon. I don’t think a I’ve seen him answering Rubio or Jebbie with cartoons. That argument is ridiculous.
Cruz/Trump...Trump/Cruz, and your comment on this editorial is?
Do you think Trump would have responded with a cartoon?
I made my comment.
You seem angry.
The right weapon for the right result. You don't swat a gnat with a sledgehammer.
But Trumpsters prefer sound and fury signifying nothing.
No, he likely would not have. You, however, then extrapolated that Cruz would respond to our enemies with cartoons. That is what I was responding to.
Well, you’re wrong.
It would seem to me that Cruz’s family, like anyone’s family, is the most precious thing to him.
The most precious thing to him, is viciously attacked, and THAT is his response?
I doubt if any Freeper here would, if they had the means that Cruz has at his disposal, mounted such a limp wristed response.
I know I wouldn’t.
I would try to cause the perps to lose their careers.
Well, OK, you have me there, Cruz wouldn’t use cartoons.
But, by way of example, remember when Trump had that little Mexican guy removed from his press conference?
That’s how you send a message.
Notice he behaved himself after that, and notice that no one else has had to be escorted out?
Cruz had a run in with the press sometime back, can’t remember exactly when, but he had the same limp wristed response to the press then, inviting another attack.
This time they were braver and they went after his daughters.
And I’m predicting this limp wristed response with the cartoon is simply inviting another media attack on him in the furture.
Unlike your beloved Trump, who would have tortured the cartoonist until death at gitmo, used the dead remains for lawn dart target practice, murdered the cartoonist's family, then burned down the publisher's headquarters and then built a 2000 mile wall that says don't make cartoons of my kids or I might do something psychotic.
Well, in response to Jeb! demanding a one on one debate with the Donald, Trump recently tweeted a picture of Jeb! picking his nose. I suppose he could have responded to a cartoon attack with a similar picture of the cartoonist, but then the MSM would just run their millionth story on Trump being boorish, Trump's fans would rave about how he's willing to do anything, and nothing real would have happened. Cruz's cartoon actually received quite a bit of play, mostly positive, even in the MSM, and won him some begrudging respect. It actually worked and advanced his cause. I'm not saying Trump only responds with insults, he can respond in other ways; but even his fans must admit Trump responding with insults is not rare.
Which is MORE Presidential?
There aren't enough Pulitzers in the world to wash away the stench of hypocrisy from Ann Telnaes....
Amen, couldn’t agree more.
Thanks jaz...
