Donald Trump was for the Clintons before he was against them

Hillary Clinton took a seat in the front pew at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, one of 450 guests on the balmy Saturday night in January 2005 when Donald Trump tied the knot with Melania Knauss, his third (and current) wife. At the reception that followed, Bill Clinton joined his wife, the former first lady who was then serving Trump's home state of New York in the Senate.

Trump now says Clinton had "no choice" but to attend his wedding because he donated money to her campaign. And he's viciously attacking his potential rival for the White House as a liar and a criminal, while dredging up old stories about her husband's zipper problem. But his record of praising both Clintons is voluminous, and seems to go far beyond an attempt to further his business interests.

For instance, the Donald Trump of 2015 says that Bill Clinton has "demonstrated a penchant for sexism" and has a "terrible record of women abuse." Over the years, however, he repeatedly downplayed the importance of the former president's affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Yes it was a parody, but if you listen to just it without the context. One could say Rush was a Big Clinton supporter.

No....it's getting your wedding announcement into the N.Y. Times by having an ex-president at the wedding.

Are you saying that, in 2005, Donald Trump couldn't get his wedding announcement into the Times without Hillary?

Also, here’s another gem from not 2009, but 2014. I’m sure our resident trumpsters will forgive/forget this as well.

Trump cannot do it. He has no solid plan.. but he is laughing inside as he hears people worship his catchy phrases.. he is a speaker, no record of doing anything but decades of coporate cronyism. The words eminent domain and sovereign are foreign to him. He isn't the only one laughing as people bow to kiss his... feet, even as he explains the tenets of cronyism and winks at his Dem masters.

It’s all they’ve got.

I wonder if they’re secretly supporting Hellary....since they’re defending she and Bill so vehemently.

“Trump has made far MORE money than what he could make as president and he doesn’t need more.”

Uh, he is boasting that he is worth 10b while Forbes is putting that at barely half that. Regardless, he is 10 to 20 times less worth than the Zukerbergs and the Gates.

Additionally, he had boasted, in fact, that he does what is best for him — financially. Running for the presidency is certainly best for him, financially. Can’t you connect the dots? Who is the moron.

You're the moron, kid !

For Trump, his money is a scorecard; that's all.

Unlike anyone else, who is running, he isn't in this to make money, nor to line the pockets of his friends and donors. He has NO big donors to owe, nor Pacs.

No, but it helps.

I take it that you have NO person idea how such things actually work.

The N.Y. Slimes has HATED Trump for decades, so having the Clintons at his last wedding did help AND then the Clintons, especially Hillary, was then a Senator from New York, owed him BIG TIME, when he wanted to call in his chips.

Think for a second. The guy who is always boasting about his wealth is barely in the Billionaires’ club where there are people 10 to 20 times more wealthy than him. He even inflates his net worth by 100%. He certainly is insecure about his standing in the Billionaires’ Club. The guy probably thinks he is in the kiddie table there.

Just like clintoons amassed tremendous wealth AFTER the presidency, Trump is certainly eyeing that opportunity. Only idiots do not see that.

Just because he does not have super-pacs does not mean that he is not one. Media is doing his bidding so that he does not have to spend much, but he is probably willing to “invest” in himself for a healthy “return” after his presidential run. Wake the h up.

You just don't get it.

If you listened to Trump, with an OPEN MIND, you might understand. His running is about pulling this nation back from the brink!

He's making money now, from his companies and he'll continue to make money, whilst he's president; though he won't be running his companies then.

TRUMP DOESN'T NEED TO BE PRESIDENT TO MAKE MONEY !

Are you admitting then, that Cruz is running to make money? That's exactly how your post comes off. LOL
