Why don’t you read some of the articles that have been posted here? There are many.
Or is it your intent to harass those with whom you disagree?
First of all I have several pellet pistols that I have bought in the last few years to take care of critters. None of them have any orange tip on them. Second the cops brought their car right up to the kid and immediately shot him. No way they had time to look for an orange tip. If cops would have reacted like this when I was a kid none of us would have survived. In addition to toy guns we had .410s and .22s.
. . . many white people possess a deep subconscious belief which dehumanizes black people by linking them with apes and other primates.
Sadly, you see some of that right here on FreeRepublic from time to time.
Yes, and it appears to be getting worse.
Of course, since Charles Darwin one of liberalism's top heroes, it's kind of strange a liberal would complain about it.
Why must “White America” be constantly lectured by “Black America” as if “White America” has a monopoly on racism and bigotry?
1) 911 Caller stated the weapon may be fake but was unsure.
2) 911 Caller stated that the suspect appeared to be about 20 years old.
3) 911 Caller stated that the suspect was pointing the weapon at people and scaring the sh*t out of them.
4) Video recording was set to a low quality. Most likely the recorded video was only capturing at around 15 or less frames per sec. This is apparent by the jumping picture. High quality video recording runs around 30 fps which would produce a smooth replay. There are frames of the incident that were not recorded due to the recording quality. Even with that, you can make out his arm reaching for waistband of his pants when the vehicle rolls up.
Children in this family are taught to use their brains.
Sorry, my children don’t go around pointing toy guns that look like real guns at cops.
I had a BUNCH of toy guns that were SPECIFICALLY designed to look real when I was a kid. ALL we did was run around and point them at each other....................................... We made our own guns out of boxes. We attached strong rubber bands to them and shot pieces of linoleum at each other. Then we grew up, and instead of wood and rubber bands we used friction tape, a car antennae, and small bolt lock. (Oh the rubber bands were doubled and tripled to propel the lock bolt into the rear of the car antennae which happened to hold a 22 short. Ahhhh, the joys of growing up in a large city when kids grew up to be men instead of metrosexuals. They also had tougher skin in those days long before PC. BTW, crime was lower then, because everyone knew everyone, and everyone respected everyone. Did we ever use those guns? Outside of showing each other our handy work, no.
I don't think anyone on FR is stupid enough to actually hit the link to an article like this. The first paragraph is all you need to read to determine the writers level of mental illness.
Besides mocking the emotionally challenged is a sport here. It warms my heart to know the level of stupid we are up against.
If my white nearly adult sized 12 year old son had pulled what appeared to be a gun on the cops, he’d have been just as dead.
My father taught us to respect firearms. Despite the fact that I have six siblings, we never had an accident of any kind. Good parents teach their children how to behave in a civil society. Good children don’t wander around pointing pellet guns at adults in an attempt to terrorize them.
So what happens when somebody puts an orange safety cap on a real gun to make it look like "something other than a deadly weapon"?
My butt would have been beaten into next week had I aimed ANY gun, fake or otherwise at another person. I think maybe my grandad had it right in beginning lessons in gun safety with toy guns.
This really is nothing good about this story, it’s just a waste. Of this young man’s life, of this police department’s reputation, there is nothing good whatsoever in this.
I have read several of the articles. The ones I’ve seen have been uselessly vague as to what actually prompted the 911 call. Much like all the Colorado shooting articles seemed to state that the gunman walked into Planned Parenthood and shot everyone inside... when, in fact, no one was shot inside.
So, if you have an actual article that relays actual facts, I’d like to see it. I’m actually ASKING for that. Link it and I’ll shut up.
Don’t wave guns around.
How much reason would a cop have to fear being shot by blonde, blue eyed little girl? How much reason would a cop have to fear being shot by a short black man? It's not racism, it's self preservation.

There was no way that the Grand Jury was going to indict these cops. They had no way of knowing that he wasn't in possession of a real gun.
You also didn’t have a 911 system back then. Nowadays, people pick up the phone and call the police to deal with things that ordinary people used to deal with on their own. Apparently a lot of folks haven’t yet figured out that calling an armed police officer to a scene involving a person with a gun is likely to result in a lot more danger and tension than calling the local department of public works over a broken water main.
