It comes after warnings of terror attacks across Europe on Thursday night
Two people suspected of plotting terror attacks in Brussels on New Year’s Eve have been arrested by police.
The two suspects were detained following raids in different parts of Belgium on Sunday and Monday.
Prosecutors say they found ISIS propaganda material and military clothing during the raids.
It comes after warnings of terror attacks across Europe on New Year’s Eve were made.
London has been left on high alert amid fears Islamist militants are planning a terrorist strike on Thursday.
The capital is one of a number of major European cities on added guard after a 'friendly' intelligence service reportedly warned of a gun or bomb attack during festive celebrations.
Russian authorities warned the country's citizens to stay at home on New Year's Eve in order to remain safe.
But Keith Vaz, chairman of the Commons home affairs select committee, said he disagreed with this approach.
“We should never allow the threat of terrorism to frighten us into changing our normal lives," he told the Telegraph.
"We need to continue with our celebrations.

“Given the current climate, of course we should be extra vigilant and continue to be well protected but if we give into fear then they would have won.â€

In this country they would have been CAIR employees with a bunch of membership applications.

My nephew is working in Brussels as an ex-pat. He’s there with his wife and their 1 year old son.
I worry about them every day.

Regardless, Bush Junior disgraced himself and his office plenty vis a vis the Saudis. He hugged them, held their hands, wicked them out of the country after 9-11, and worst of all, covered up possible evidence of Saudi officials' involvement in those attacks.
