Donald Trump's bile is a healing balm for spurned Americans
Financial Times ^ | December 27, 2015 | Frank Luntz

Posted on 12/28/2015 10:35:10 AM PST by EveningStar

Those who support him now will support him next November, writes Frank Luntz

Outraged by what Donald Trump says? You are not alone. No high-polling presidential candidate in the modern era has so intrepidly drawn the ire of so many within the American electorate. And there remains no end in sight.

Yet in rendering one voting bloc utterly apoplectic, he has appealed viscerally to another. The balance of middle ground politics is not, shall we say, Mr Trump's bailiwick. But America is no longer a middle ground country. We are already scared by our division -- and it is getting worse.

The simple truth is, the more provocative his language, the deeper and more passionate his support. He is no dummy; there is a method to his proverbial madness. Mr Trump says -- to the growing legions who will listen -- what tens of millions of Americans are already thinking. Respect or revile him, the man has hit a vein.

Boy, I hope I don’t get suspended for this but I need to ask:

Am I the only conservative who is concerned that Ted Cruz is married to a Managing Director of Goldman Sachs?

I always think of Goldman Sachs as major source of financial corruption of Wall Street.

What do you all think. I really want to know.

Well from 2000-

“Government should do public works & safety & little else”

“Common sense tell us that the two basic principles of governing should work anywhere they are applied. First: Get government out of activities it can’t do well. (A list of thing government doesn’t do well is a very long list.)
Second: Get government back in the business of providing for public convenience (transportation, public works) and safety (police and firefighters), and make sure it does so efficiently. Then judge its efforts by visible, definable results and fine-tune as needed.”

From his book-

already scared by our division -- and it is getting worse.

Perhaps you should read my comment. We are "scared by our division" that were purposely created, and fostered, by the Political class. No Mr Lutz, After the Political/Media/Business/Academic class heap bile and abuse on the heads of average Americans for decades, we finally found someone who takes it back to you clowns that you cannot buy or ignore. It time you all sit down, shut up and start listening for a change.

People, he is NOT a conservative.

No, he is not.

Someone always feels obliged to point that factoid out on just about every Trump thread so I believe we have the idea.

Trump may not always espouse conservative ideals but he offers something even more lacking in government today and that is patriotism.

Trump is a patriot.

He is an unapologetic patriot and proud American.

A Trump administration promises to be the exact opposite of what we had the last 7 years and what Hillary wants to bring us for another 8 years.

He will be a huge improvement over the so-called "conservatives" who have sold us down the river for the last 27 years.

He certainly would not have supported or signed the latest disaterous budget pushed by the "conservative" House Leader.

His unabashed patriotism and common sense solutions to the liberal quagmire we now live in are the core of his popularity.

This is how the media is behaving in their downward fall into the ashcan of history. In the article you see the words,”intrepidly,” “bailiwick,” “apoplectic,” “provocative,” “proverbial madness,” “his childlike joy” and other emotion loaded words by Frank Luntz. This is just the behavior of Yellow Journalism, the term was extensively used to describe certain major New York City newspapers around 1900 as they battled for circulation. In this case, it is print media battling for survival in the internet age. I might also add TV media, which is also finding itself irrelevant. Their attacks on Trump are a way for them to create a lightning rod of attention. Luntz is correct, “the blows are delivered by an institution that is distrusted and an elite political and business establishment that is detested.” We detest them because they hoodwinked the American electorate to elect the Obama Regime that has turned out to be a gang of clowns—der Hildebeast included—which has been a real schlonging for the American people.

In an interview with POLITICO, Luntz said Trump -- and Democratic presidential insurgent Bernie Sanders -- are "delivering a big 'f--- you' to the elites in America.

"And that resonates on both sides," Luntz said. "But 'f--- you' doesn't solve anything. 'F--- you' doesn't make life any better. 'F--- you' makes you feel good, but it doesn't get you where you need to go. 'F--- you' doesn't make America strong. 'F--- you' doesn't solve anything."

Trump responded by accusing Luntz of harboring a long-held vendetta because Trump refused to do business with Luntz's polling firm.

"I caught him cold," Trump told POLITICO. "And frankly, if I was [Fox News President] Roger Ailes, I'd fire that guy so fast for what he did that his head would spin."

Very true.

Every time he says something the media and liberals think is totally outrageous, the rest of us feel a thrill of pleasure.

To start with Donald rump has widely stated that he would do away with the Department of Education. Trump does not believe in Common Core and has attacked the government for removing education from local control. Considering that the founders never gave the Feds the power to control education in the constitution, Trump’s position is one very important strike against big government’s indoctrination of our young people.

That’s just for starters! He has mentioned several times the waste and corruption inherent in the huge bureaucracy we call our Federal Government (VA, EPA, )and how and why it must be managed properly. ...read, eliminated or reduced.

A campaign fueled by bile will cause America to rot from within. Can you imagine Ronald Reagan expressing Trump’s attitudes? No, of course you can’t.

"My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."
