In Sioux City, Iowa, billionaire businessman and Republican front-runner Donald Trump called on a wound veteran named Todd. After serving 21 years in the Army, Todd spoke about his frustration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Todd's wife says he has been unable to receive an appointment in order to get the care he needs.
Here's how Trump responded via TheBlaze:
"You're going to write out your card, and I am going to put pressure on the VA like you won't believe," Trump said to major applause from the crowd. "As president, I can guarantee it. As Trump I can say, 'I'll probably be able to pull it off anyway.'"
The Republican presidential candidate also laid out what he would do as president to fix the VA.
"The waits are unbelievable," Trump said. Five, six, seven days sometimes."
Trump said that, as president, he would allow veterans to get care from their private doctors at the government's expense if they can't get an appointment with the VA. Trump said that would end up costing less money and patients would end up getting better care.
Trump promised to put pressure on the VA "like you won't believe." This was met with thunderous applause by the crowd and it should have an immediate impact on Todd's life. Trump also says he'll solve the systemic problems at the VA that are affecting many others. Hopefully Todd finally gets the medical cares that he has earned and has a right to.

That certainly beats the other candidate who hands out teddy bears and soccer balls to illegal immigrants.
I can’t possibly see how Hillary can win, one debate with Trump and she is finished not to mention the skeletons he is going to dump on her through commercials and speeches. Trump has a history of over 40 years of Hillary scandals to work with, going all the way back to the early 1970s with her getting fired as a lawyer for lying while on the other hand Hillary has NOTHING on him! What is she going to use? That he says politically incorrect things? That he called someone a name? Wooo! Or that he got divorced 2 or 3 times? It’s pathetic, she has absolutely no ammunition whatsoever to use against him. while he’s got the entire A to Z list of Clinton scandals to work with which number into the 100s and he will use every single last one of them non-stop every day, he will make her look so bad the public will see her as an absolute psychopath and the press is not going to be able to protect her one iota. If she wins after that, then either it’s going to be because of massive voter fraud or this country was already dead to begin with.
Well, guess who owns it? The guy who can bloviate through more tangential drivel in ten minutes than most have ever done in a liftime. You know who it is.
In addition to everything else he’s doing, Trump is exposing the complete absurdity of federal policies and regulations. Can you imagine a company run like the federal government? I know there are those who have problems with Trump’s attitude and some of his views, but what America needs right now is a kickass CEO. And he is certainly that. We can argue the “social issues” all we want AFTER we right this sinking ship.
Yep. The scandals alone will do Hillary in.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has already made phone calls on behalf of U.S. Army First Sgt. Todd Landen (Ret.), a wounded veteran who spoke to Trump Tuesday night at a Sioux City, Iowa rally about problems he was having with the Veterans Administration.

I mean, yes, there are folks out there with more conservative creds, in a conventional sense, than Trump. In fact there are scads.
But who’s putting any kind of feet to it?
The question looms before us, would we rather have sometimes-misguided feet, than NO FEET AT ALL?
I think the answer is plain.

Yeah, the guy who actually DOES SOMETHING instead of giving a speech and then writing a bill merely for show, knowing it won’t pass.
Trump actually loves America. It’s not about power or money for him - he has both of those already.
