Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has earned the support of conservative favorite Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who will join the freshman Senator for a three-day trip to Iowa to rally support for his campaign.
“Marco is a rock solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust,†Gowdy said in a statement proved to reporters. “I look forward to campaigning in Iowa with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state.â€
Gowdy is a celebrity among many conservatives, thanks to his tough prosecutorial grilling of members of the administration officials during congressional hearings and because he has chaired the Benghazi investigative committee that centers on Hillary Clinton.

This should surprise NO ONE. Gowdy is a fake, phony, fraud, as Bob Grant used to say. He is BFF with Lindsey Graham, and co-sponsored the Enlist Act, which would have handed amnesty to illegals who joined the military

Frankly, Gowdy had no choice. He is protecting committee chairmanships.
My chief concern about Rubio was his willingness even eagerness to sell out conservatism to the establishment.
Gowdy’s endorsement doesn’t allay my concern.
Instead, this endorsement only serves to elevates Gowdy to the watchlist of those willing to sell out conservatism for the sake of the establishment.
Appointed by Bonehead in May, 2014 to investigate Clinton and the Benghazi debacle, “Fauxhawk” Gowdy hasn’t done anything in over a year and half but grandstand.
He’s just another conservative star who came to DC and immediately turned into a worthless GOP-e mushroom.

This certainly clears up that failure to demand a special prosecutor. Lack of recommendation of charges. Failure of his committee to seek action against, anyone.

I believe Rubio is a fine conservative.... I could vote for him if I had to....but I much prefer Ted Cruz....
