Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is the only Republican presidential candidate who wouldn't lose to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in a general election head-to-head match up, according to a new Quinnipiac poll released Tuesday morning.
The poll posed six different head-to-head match ups to its respondents. The first three were between GOP candidates Cruz, Donald Trump, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Clinton; the next three pitted the three Republicans against Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.).

While the poll found that Cruz wouldn't lose to Clinton, it also found that he would not defeat her. In fact, a Cruz-Clinton match-up would be a tie, according to the poll, 44 percent to 44 percent. Rubio would lose only narrowly to Clinton, 43 percent to 44 percent, while Trump would lose big, 40 percent to 47 percent.
If Sanders were the Democratic nominee, the poll found that both Cruz and Rubio would defeat the self-described Democratic-socialist. Trump, on the other hand, would lose by an even wider margin than he would to Clinton - 38 percent to Sanders' 51 percent.
The poll also found that following last Tuesday's Republican debate, Cruz continues to chip away at Trump's massive lead. While the Real Clear Politics national average has Trump's lead at more than 15 points, the Quinnipiac poll found that Trump is leading Cruz by only four points, 28 percent to 24 percent.
The poll stands in stark contrast to other post-debate polls, which found that Trump's lead had stretched to new heights. A Fox News poll even had Trump up by more than 20 points over Cruz.
Means nothing, Trump will wipe the floor with her.
The polls showing Hillary beating Trump on the national level have been Trump-ed up.
I don’t know where they’re finding these dim bulbs they survey, but I just don’t believe that Hillary is that popular. In fact I don’t believe she’s popular at all.
Polls polls everywhere a poll...
If The Blaze said it, it must be true. Crying and hysteria provided gratis for authentication.
I’ve chosen wisely.....again.
But she’s well within the Margin of Fraud
Total deconstruction of everything she’s been able to hide with the now hated press.
Vince Foster’s justice is coming at a minimum.
Guys a friggin’ genius.
How she doesnt’ go to prison seems impossible to me.
Ha! Hillary will lose soundly. The woman is repulsive, even to leftists.
Wait ‘till she has to come out of hiding.
Still, the only thing Mitt ever said that made sense was the thing about 47% of the electorate being on the dole and owned by the DNC.

The Blaze has fallen on some hard times.
I don’t know...there are a LOT of radical women in the soviet northeast that will support Hillary!...come hell or high water. Radical stupidity + widespread fraud = ???
“I donât know where theyâre finding these dim bulbs they survey, but I just donât believe that Hillary is that popular. In fact I donât believe sheâs popular at all.”
It’s very difficult to be less popular than Hillary but Trump has pulled it off.
Romney was wrong about a lot of things, but he was 100% right about that 47%.
It’s hard to imagine ANYONE losing to Cankles in a rational world, but the Left’s machine is formidable. As another poster just noted, we want Trump... we NEED Cruz. I’ll vote for either in the General, but I keep warning folks that Trump will bring many unexpected results, and more than a few facepalm moments.
Agreed...she has more baggage than Kennedy Airport and its all bad.
Trump has a mind like a steel trap and he will just throw her scandals at her non stop...
No-one with no fear has ever taken her on before, she’ll either crack, or explode and thereby blow it.
Besides, who wants essentially a rehash of Obama for another four years? The Democrats are far more interested in the likes of Gavin Newsom or one of the two Castro brothers from Texas for 2020.
She has a following amongst plain at best, bitter, angry, Peter Principle leftist women on the wrong side of middle age. She used to get some of the Reagan Democrat blue collar types back in the PUMA days, but I think she lost a lot of them during her stint as SoS.
