Itâs one of the coldest temperatures ever recorded in Colorado, and a tie for the coldest temperature at this particular weather station!
On the morning of December 17 the thermometer at Antero Reservoir dropped to an astounding -51°F.

The coldest temperature ever recorded in Colorado was -61°F in the small town of Maybell, located in Moffat County, on Feb. 1, 1985.

Global warming at work. I’ve been in -22 and noticed how fabric on your clothes changes texture at that temp. -51 is phenomenal!
I’ve got 49 degrees and rain here in Southern Michigan. It can stay like this all winter as far as I’m concerned.

I’ve been in Maybell. Camped there in the little city park. It was chilly, but not minus 49 chilly.
Have not heard of Antero.
That will kill all those damn pine beetles, probably fifteen years too late.

I once had to fill my car when it was -25F outside.I made the mistake of doing it without gloves.The pain of touching that cold metal of the "spout" was excruciating.
West of Colorado Springs, above Hartsel, below Trout Creek Pass.
If we didn’t have Globull warming, it would be really cold.

Yup,I was there...at Revere Beach to be exact.The water was chilly...and bracing!
