Aside from it being an isolated prison, why do we want that prison in Cuba. Are we so incompetent that we can’t build a secure-enough prison in America?

As ‘enemy combatants’ captured in the field they are under military jurisdiction.
Once on US soil in prison it is argued by Golf-1’s DOJ they become subject to civil laws.
This has been discussed many times here since the begining of the current regime.
Why don’t you know all this?

They are category enemy combatants. Put em in the US and the a-holes at the JustUs department of politically correct ineptotrons, and they become “civilians” who are not US citizens yet... somehow brought under US law. This was well explained when the prison was setup, with every convenience for the little darlings including a muzzie chef and lots of entertainments.

The prisoners at Guantanamo Bay can’t be brought to the U.S. because they are not being held under any legal status. The only way to hold them without due process is to keep them in a place where we can pretend they are not subject to any legal protection.
