Federal prosecutors have decided to bring criminal charges against the friend and former neighbor of one of the San Bernardino shooters.
Several federal law enforcement officials tell NBC News that the first criminal charges to stem from the massacre will be brought against Enrique Marquez, a long-time friend and former neighbor of gunman Syed Rizwan Farook. The charges could be filed as early as Thursday.

Just to be clear - the gun transfer would be state charges. unless they were already modified.
Have they determined which party of these parties attempted to make the weapons full auto? If they can prove it was this guy then that would be federal. If he did modify the guns I wouldn’t admit it - blame the dead guy.
Have they arrested the mother yet? She needs to be hauled off before she can kill infidels like her son did!
Exactly! The Feds love prosecuting gun transfer crimes. They hate prosecuting terrorism. Here they should do both. Let’s see how this plays out.

Why charge the friend?
To cover for the lack of charges against the coconspirator family members and mosque members where they attended.
Hum, weapons charges regarding transfers and perhaps accessory before the fact?? Unfortunately in Cal if ever given a death sentence in the federal prosecution, he will never see the needle coming.
