“Maybe you can answer this question. What is a ânose riderâ?”
Well, if you are talking about surfing and not adult films, it’s a board that displaces enough water to allow the rider to get into trim under enogh water in the wave to shift all his or her weight forward to hang their appendages of choice off the end of the board. Can’t be done with one of those little potato chips that shredders use today. The Malibu style board in the 60’s was a good example. 9-10’ fiberglass boards. Mine was a 9’8” Dewey Weber. Great board, good rider, nose or otherwise. Could still do a bottom turn and move around the face, ut not the kind of shit that kids do today. I think they are “rediscovering” them because it was the original soul board. You were IN the wave, not on it. If you are talking about skateboards, the only one I ever owned was one I made in wood shop in high school.
Had to snicker a bit at your reply. Yes, I was talking about surfboards. And yes, you answered my question perfectly. Many thanks. Hope you find the perfect break.
