NBC/WSJ Poll: Obama Falls to 43% as Terror New #1 Issue

The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll reveals that following the San Bernardino terrorist attack, 70 percent of Americans now believe the nation is headed in the wrong direction and only 43 percent approve of Barack Obama’s job performance as president.

About 71 percent of Americans say that the “shootings and random acts of violence that took place this year in Charleston, S.C., Oregon , Colorado, and the terrorist shootings in San Bernardino, California — are now are now a permanent part of American life.”

Domestic terrorism and national security have more than doubled this year and now are the top issue for 40 percent of Americans. The next nearest categories are job creation and economic growth at 23 percent and the deficit and government spending at 11 percent.

President Obama told global leaders at the opening of the Paris climate change conference, just after the San Bernardino attack, that dealing with climate change was a “rejection” of what terrorists seek to do to the world. But only 7 percent of Americans rate climate change as their number one priority.

Must be the same 43% idiots that Mitt Romney identified as those that there was no way he could ever dissuade them voting for Obama.

Laz made the point that Bush only reached a low of 38% during his presidency.

I attribute it to a “He’s a SOB, but he’s OUR SOB” mentality.

That it is 43% proves that almost half the country has its collective head up ...

Even worse, only 51% disapprove of Obama's job performance.

The problem is the remaining 49%. Romney's 47% has become 49% in three years, despite San Bernardino, worsening economics, etc.

This is eerily similar to the National Front vote topping out at 45% in only one department after the Paris attacks.

This problem may require an authoritarian populist demagogue, say I, a Cruz supporter. It may take that to cut through the fog.

Hundreds of asylum-seekers entering Norway were discovered to have images of executions and severed head on their mobile phones.

The revelation comes amid heightened fears that ISIS is exploiting the migrant crisis to smuggle fighters into Europe, following last month attacks in Paris. Police admitted that the explosion of refugees crossing into the country over the summer and in recent months meant that security checks were less thorough than required, and were not checking the background of those entering the country.
