Trumps views on H1B visa’s are similar to Cruz’s:

https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2015/08/21/republican-presidential-candidate-and-immigration-hardliner-donald-trump-sends

EXCERPT:

“When foreigners attend our great colleges and want to stay in the U.S., they should not be thrown out of our country,” Trump wrote in a tweet Tuesday.

“I want talented people to come into this country — to work hard and to become citizens. Silicon Valley needs engineers, etc.,” another tweet said.

The Trump campaign did not respond to requests for specifics about how it would seek to make it easier for international students to stay in the U.S. postgraduation. But when it comes to this general goal, Trump — who leads the pack in polling among Republican presidential contenders — is in line with mainstream sentiment in higher education.

If you do not understand the difference between PhD graduates from American universities and H1-B visa computer programmers from foreign countries, I would suggest you refrain from posting and expose your lack of understanding of the real problem.

Almost all H1-B visa cheap foreign workers are mainly computer programmers. That does not require a PhD degree or even a master’s degree. Those foreign workers displace American citizen programmers by accepting wage levels 40% below American wages. There is NO shortage of American computer programmers.

On the other hand, there is a critical shortage of highly educated scientists and engineers with advanced degrees in United States. Those are the type of people we need, not computer programmers.

This is a very misleading comparison. Why?

People attending our colleges are not united in a large group ready to be sent out tens or hundreds strong to take over whole departments at super low wages.

What happened at Disney was that a large group of people from India were sent over to be trained to replace many jobs.

When a person graduates from university, they are one person acting alone trying to enter the work-force like anyone else.

This distinction being made, I don’t support any people coming to or staying in the U. S. right now.

I disagree with Trump’s plan that is totally different than Cruz’s.

I disagree with Cruz’s plan also.
