Negotiators analyze 'final draft' of climate pact in Paris

LE BOURGET, France (AP) -- France presented negotiators from 190 nations with what it called a "final draft" of an unprecedented climate deal to slow global warming and urged them to approve it on Saturday. The deal, called the "Paris agreement," would limit rising temperatures and sea levels, and eventually hold man-made emissions to the levels that nature can absorb.

If the pact is approved, nations would be committed to keeping the rise in global temperatures by the year 2100 compared with pre-industrial times "well below" 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) and "endeavor to limit" them even more, to 1.5 degrees Celsius. That was a key demand of poor countries ravaged by the effects of climate change and rising sea levels.

They would also be committed to limiting the amount of greenhouse gas emitted by human activity to the same levels that trees, soil and oceans can absorb naturally, beginning at some point between 2050 and 2100.

Warmists should be shot.

"The thing is, we have to really reach out to those who might consider voting for Trump warmists and say, "This is Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him them I will have to shoot you before election day." They're not going to listen to reason, so when justice is gone, there's always force, as Laurie would say.'

Sure. In other words, a commitment to marginal temperature reduction that virtually all of us alive will never see.

Environmental austerity is a sure vote getter! This deal will go nowhere.

Exactly, is this just another giant enviro-gabfest, or are we on the hook now for real money?

Its not a treaty, not an executive agreement - its just an outline of climate change goals.

The way its set up leaves every one free to decide whether and how to implement it.

John Kerry in a speech Wednesday said he wants to double “climate aid” to foreign countries from $430 million a year to $860 million a year. Any such money of course needs Congress approval.

Beyond that, the US could suffer more from energy limits it imposes on itself. The left does enough damage on that front here already.

Hey. You sound like that aclu assclown in Colorado in ref to Trump supporters. LOL! Sometimes you just have to do a face palm. Here is one simple list that did NOT get slipped in to any presentation:

1. Define the “correct: temperature range for the planet.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.

3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.

4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.

5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.

6. Define the “correct”amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.

7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans

Pretty sure this list could be expanded with ease.

This article is delusional. It is insane.

“The deal, called the “Paris agreement,” would limit rising temperatures and sea levels, and eventually hold man-made emissions to the levels that nature can absorb.”

The ability of the left to lie to itself and others is nearly infinite. “The deal” would do none of the above. It simply limits first world development and transfers wealth to the third world tyrannies.

If the deal were to be successful in its stated goals of reducing CO2 and if the Earth is truly heading into a Dalton Minimum event as the real science solidly indicates is the case then this is a prescription for famine. The real goals have nothing to do with CO2 or climate but are for an elite few taking control and possession of vast amounts of the total wealth. The restrictions on the free market would, of course, reduce total wealth and work to impoverish the world middle class and ultimately reduce the poor to poorer and the poorest to starvation.

EO and a deal with the UN which will not be submitted as a treaty. He will just start enforcing it on the US economy with EPA regulations as with the UN Agenda 21 which is binding law nationwide and has never been submitted as a treaty but rather implemented as EPA and HUD regulations. We live now in a split dictatorship - EPA/President. It will be an EPA dictatorship with a weak president and a Presidential dictatorship with a strong President. EOs are not necessary, just the EPA.

It’s actually quite funny to see that 190 bureaucrats in Paris are debating signing a document in which they will establish the earth’s temperature 85 years from now. They really need to add a provision that makes pi an even 3.0 and also equal to e, in order to make the calculations for this feat much simpler. They should also declare that Arabic be the universal scientific language so that communication is easier. See how great liberalism is?

Of course, they can't name any such countries, because there aren't any.

Yeah, the terrorists made the joke of the year out of this Paris meeting.

What really needs to be pondered is this:

Study Shows U.S. Mosques Are Repositories of Muslim Brotherhood Literature and Preachers

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3371633/posts

Of the 100 mosques surveyed,

51% had texts on site rated as severely advocating violence;

30% had texts rated as moderately advocating violence;

19% had no violent texts at all.

[Other new info added above.]

Are we to believe that a document of several hundred pages was hammered out in Paris. It was already written before and of 40,000 people fouled the air flying there.
