Cruz can only put off the inevitable beatdlown by Trump for so long.
Ted better have his flame-resistant suit on and stay off twitter.
I am voting for Cruz in the primary. However, I have no problem voting for Trump in the General. I think Trump has an easier road to the White House as he actually brings disaffected white working class to the table and a higher amount of Blacks than any other Republican candidate.
Romney would have had to win 73% of the Latino vote to win the White House, but only 3% more of the white vote. Trump will win 5 - 10 % MORE of the white vote which constitutes over 70% of the voters.
That Cruz and Trump are somehow “teaming up” is one of the great delusions this campaign season. They are opponents (sadly, it appears that needs pointed out to people).
Trump should not react based on press reports. Trump better listen to the actual audio. His name was not mentioned in relation to the topic on which the press is reporting.
There is and will be no fight.......hogwash.
Trump had better go practice on some more disabled people.
I think it is the perfect set up. Cruz puts forth “judgment” as a vector all candidates will have to be weighed on. If Trump explodes, it says more about his judgment than anyone else ever could.
Pissing contests in a nuclear armed world are not advisable.
The media can’t wait for Trump and Cruz to tangle.
I think they will be disappointed in how it goes.
They are not MORTAL enemies, though. Candidates can compete, even in this tough arena, without going nuclear. Ted is tough. Both candidates can “take it.” I’d be surprised and disappointed if either of them deliberately lands low blows.
We’ll see, I guess.

big Cruz fan. and he will be getting my vote.. However, I am very excited about Trump and would gladly vote for him in the general. He says things that we are all thinking.. love what he has done for our political environment.. he changed the game.
and I don’t think there will be any huge fight between the 2. dont see it.
Mail.
Doesn’t sound like an attack to me:
“I like and respect both Donald and Ben. I do not believe either one is going to be our nominee. I don’t believe either one is going to be our president. I think both of them, their campaigns have a natural arc. And with both of them I think gravity is pulling them down, Carson is further in that descent. You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it’s given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face? Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now that’s a question of strength, but it’s also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them. So my approach, much to the frustration of the media has been to bear hug both of them, and smother them with love. People run as who they are. I believe gravity will bring both of those campaigns down, I think the lion’s share of their supporters come to us.”
Now clear the debate stage of the riff raff and let this be a 3 or 4 man debate. The sooner this is down to Trump and Cruz, and Trump is exposed for the fraud cronyist real estate huckster that he actually is, the better.
Trump can either not respond (losing his âtough guyâ image) or respond like a bull to a cape.
LOL...I think we see who’s actually holding the cape....and who was smoked out at the donor meeting.
“Doesnât sound like an attack to me:”
conservativejoy, thanks for posting the extended quote. It was a serious insightful response to a question. If they don’t want to know what Ted thinks, don’t ask him.
It was definitely not an “attack” against either of them. I would bet, Ted doesn’t like the way this was spun by the MSM, but it is negative mainly by implication and consists mainly of a comparison of strengths. IT’s also true.

Ted will always be the smartest man in any room. Trump better be careful. (Yes, I’m supporting Ted Cruz for POTUS).
Cruz jumped the shark by denying he said what he said. He should have manned up and owned his comments like Trump does. We now have a very clear difference between Cruz and Trump. Trump speaks his mind and owns what he says. Cruz doesn’t.
Hope Cruz doesn't screw up in his climb which would leave him with no place to go.
He will make a great AG in a Trump Administration and a future justice in the USSC.
Careful Ted.
Agree. I like Cruz but I think he has little cross over appeal. He looks and sounds like a TV evangelist. Trump can even pull some black votes. On the other hand, Trump will say whatever pops into his head which supplies all sorts of ammo to the Dems. Regardless, Cruz and Trump are the only two remotely on my radar.
