Before he entered the race for the White House, Ben Carson signed on to a campaign to raise money to fight Obamacare. When Juanita McMillon saw his name, she was eager to get out her checkbook... She gave $350.
Her money went to the American Legacy PAC, an organization with ties to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. With Carson as the face of its Save Our Healthcare campaign, American Legacy raised close to $6 million in 2014 â and spent nearly all of it paying the consultants and firms that raised the money. Just 2% was donated to Republican candidates and committees, financial reports show.
âIâm really careful who I give money to... âI prefer to give money to individuals, and I assumed, I guess, that Dr. Carson was getting my money.â
But American Legacyâs approach was different. Using old-school tactics like direct mail and telemarketing â mainstays of conservative fundraising campaigns for decades â consultants sent out blanket appeals, âprospectingâ for passionate Carson supporters.
Many turned out to be older, conservative voters captivated by his religious faith and up-from-poverty life story.

In fact, The GOP House (NRCC,run by Greg Walden) & Senate (NRSC) are in on the scam using TRUMP supporters. It works this way. You take a prez poll on Facebook, etc. and vote for Trump, then their emails start trying to sell you their Chinese made junk to hurt the Trump campaign.
I got another from the NRSC today which reads: from Zach ... info@nrsc.org trying to sell fake Trump Tshirts for $25.00. Not ONE CENT goes to the Trump campaign and it hurts it, which is why they do it. This has been going on for months. https://contribute.nrsc.org/donald-trump-humble-shirt/?recurring=true&utm_medium=email&utm_source=sp&utm_campaign=20151210_24209021_Zach&utm_content=body_txt_claim%20you%282%29&action=email_click&ha1=
See: More GOP fundraising on the Trump name! Now its the Senate! http://freerepublic.com/focus/gop/3370427/posts?page=35#35
Dozens of these lobbyist run pacs have used Trump Supporters. Donate or buy gear ONLY from his website. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/
Just following the government program model.
yup. the black jeb and his gope backers will take your money anyway they can get it.
I’ve not received one ‘donate now....your gift today will be matched...we really need you to chip in X $, etc.’ plea from the Trump campaign. Just campaign updates, and what Trump is doing to make America great, again info.
Very refreshing ;-)
Trump is 100% right, again!
Trump is right so often it’s getting boring.
I agree, Jane, the Trump campaign is refreshing.
That's why I only make direct contributions to Donald and Ted.
“That’s why I only make direct contributions to Donald and Ted. “
Good, but you still have to be very careful. I have found several websites that sound very authentic, they even use the candidates name. The House & Senate GOP groups (NRCC, NRSC) give every indication their scam is from the Trump campaign.
Someone trying to be helpful, put this address out as the correct one for Trump MONEY contributions: http://www.trump2016campaign.com/about-us/donations/
WRONG!!! WRONG!!!! NO WAY!!
THIS is MORE lobbyists and con men, using YOU and Donald Trump to line their pockets! They don’t use one cent of this $$$ to elect Donald Trump, and there are dozens of these outfits out there on the net!

There is only one authorized Trump campaign website:
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/
Do you have the Trump ping list, Jane? If so would you ping them. Thanks!
Most don’t figure out that it is junk mail. It is all well disguised by the Senate and House republicans! You have to work to find out where it’s coming from.
Lots of charities and such do this professional fundraiser scam. The PBA in many cases. Pennies on the dollar to the program that earned the tax exempt status. This sure sounds a lot like racketeering.
FYI...please see post #1 about the scam the NRCC & NRSC is running against Trump and his supporters. Talk radio needs to address this underhanded GOP.
Do not buy bumper stickers, gear or make contributions to any website other than the official Trump page. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/
Why should we care if Democrats get scammed by the PACs they give to?
Thanks for the ping. I was just going to get avhat, some’m glad you told me where to get one that will help Trump’s campaign.
I’ve met Walden...always seemed sleazy
This article was posted before I had a ping list person, so I’d like to remind you all of this.
NRSC is still running this scam. See this for pics of the FB postings, etc. http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/2015/12/more-gopnrcc-dirty-tricks-and-ted-cruz.html
Cruz, Rubio are getting Trump supporter $$ by scamming from the NRSC (which Cruz used to run and they now give hundreds of thousands of $$ to!) and NRCC by selling bogus Trump gear pretending to support Trump!
They have done this for months and has cost the Trump campaign likely millions.
From open secrets: Donations to Cruz
2. Senate Conservatives Fund $315,991
WHEN is Ted Cruz going to speak out against this fraud?
Well, if they’re selling Trump hats what’s wrong with that? Probably some of the money goes to Trump.
One thing for sure, there’s a ton of money changing hands, and it says a lot about Trump that he’s not taking any of it, nor does he have any PAC money.
He’s really now on his own, and maybe you’ll see some of these guys in his cabinet, and hopefully if they’re smart and true loyal republicans, they’ll campaign for him, but I think you’re going to see him distance himself from these buzzards.
This is a new politician, who appeals across party lines. He’s going to win New York folks. The polls should be coming out soon about it. Then it’s over.
