Administrators and teachers at St. Paul Public Schools have their own ideas about what to do regarding the lack of student discipline, which has led to an alarming spike in violence and unruly behavior, and culminated in the assault of two teachers in the last week.
The teachers union wants the district to provide millions of dollars for teacher/parent committees in each building, to spend as they wish on potential remedies to the problem.
Administrators want an overall district committee that will not have to spend millions of dollars.
Only one source, Joe Soucheray, a columnist for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, seems to have his finger on what a lot of people are thinking - that the lax disciplinary policies in the district, particularly toward black students, is the result of the district's consulting relationship with the Pacific Educational Group (PEG).
PEG, a radial California non-profit, believes American schools are plagued with "white privilege" and black students should be compensated with free passes for bad behavior.

And the guy from the ACLU wants to shoot Trump voters. This is always the logical progression of Fascism. Those who oppose you don’t deserve rights and respect and so you can use violence to force them to do what you want. Liberalism has been trending this way for years but it really accelerated under “bring a gun; get in their faces” Obama.
PEG is a good example of allowing ideology to triumph over reality. Their understanding of basic human nature is completely submerged in their miasma of wishful thinking and political correctness.

More committees? Yeah that’s the ticket. How about bring back the “board” of education and recognize God’s purpose and word.

Here is white privilege in a nutshell: My brothers, sisters and I all had one father. He lived in our house and was faithful to my mother until the day she died.
Blacks need to acquire that privilege, too.
This is Minnesota Public School teachers. You have to hit them much harder than this to knock some sense into them.

Every time I’ve asked that question, all I get is opinions, feelings, and called a “racist” just for asking the question. Everyone always spouts off about the great achievements of the Civil Rights Movement and Martin Luther King, but, really what benefit has the country as a whole, gotten?

You nailed it. However, note that the terms change when confronted with reality. Global Warming has now become Climate Change. Here in the flyover Midwest, we call it "Seasons." LOL!

I disagree. It is not about acting white, it is about what works. All races have used a simple formula to get out of poverty and succeed in life.
The Brookings Institution, a liberal think tank, found that 98% of poor people who follow a simple formula were able to move out of poverty.
Finish your education
Get a job
Get married
Buy a house
Have children
If you do those things in that order, 98% of poor people move up the economic ladder.
It’s what works!
May I change/expand your wording? Rather than “own up to it,” I would say it is time for others to “accept it,” along with we who take good behavior for granted.
Also, I believe that it is not an “acquired privilege,” it is an earned privilege. Indeed, blacks need to earn the privilege too.
You and I had exactly the same experience growing up. Stable home environments produce “privileged” sons and daughters.
If every school kid was given a laptop and a provider account and told to go home and have fun on the Internet, they’d probably test out higher than their brick and mortar colleagues. School is an unutterable bore and teaches damned little that can be applied directly to the issues of everyday life. What school curriculum teaches how to buy a house, how to open a bank account, how to get a job, how to choose a career, how to raise a child, how to contact their govt. representatives, how to buy insurance, what issues are faced in growing old, how to comparison shop, and a host of homemaking skills that we leave up to social osmosis.
Yup, acting white
More and more America’s rules are being set by the most ignorant members of the population. You can guarantee any social policy established by liberals will end in disaster.

It will be used to explain Black incompetence and failure anywhere in the world.
