GOP power brokers are reportedly preparing for an 11th-hour floor fight to defeat Donald Trump

The national Republican establishment is preparing for potentially not having a clear winner after the party's 2016 presidential primaries, The Washington Post reported Thursday.
And if front-runner Donald Trump is still ahead at the end, several unnamed "longtime power brokers" reportedly urged the Republican Party to prepare for a floor fight to nominate a more acceptable alternative.
So-called brokered conventions are extremely rare as a consensus candidate typically emerges from each party's primaries with a majority of the delegates.

I'm planning on being in Cleveland. I posted a vanity a couple months ago asking if there would be a Tea Party presence in the streets at the convention. Got no response to my inquiries. If we could put 100,000 Christians and true conservatives outside the convention arena perhaps the GOPe might notice and react appropriately.
Has anyone heard of any such organizing efforts?

And these cowards think they have what it takes to lead America.
I know why they are what they are, they are pigs feeding at the K-Street trough and they know that the trough goes ‘bye-bye’ when President Trump is sworn in.

I’m not sure that other viable candidates (Like Ben Carson) might ditch them if they made this move. I don’t see him sticking around to be spat upon after a bush league move like that.

Both sides are losing their minds over trump.. They only do this to people they know would have a good chance at winning.

This is a bunch of hysterical BS. Trump will likely run the table in the primaries and have a decisive win going into the convention.

If this happens, there will be blood on the political streets.
It will be a political bloodbath for the GOPe’s.

I’m inclined to agree with you. Frankly, I think Trump is going to win every single primary, and win big.

I vote for TRUMP! GOP will loose if he goes 3rd party, as he will if “not treated fairly” (Trump's comment). The GOP is too party centric, not oriented to the voters, becoming more politically correct and is too subject to the whims of the unelected POS Rove who put the GOP on the side of illegal immigration. The GOOP is just a slower version of creeping Socialism than the Dimwits.
Have they not heard of the TEA PARTY? They will loose the Presidency, and have a shaky if any hold on Congress.
If not Trump they had best run CRUZ who IMHO will be The Donald's VP.

I believe the poll numbers are very understated and Trump has more support than is showing.

Well, I am an independent. In fact, I am so independent that I refuse to belong to any party. I believe that most of the other independent thinkers are very much like me for many of the same reasons. That is, there is an aversion to being in a box of someone other person's creation.
The more I see of this manipulation, the more I like Trump.

So true.
Articles like this show how desperate Trump has made both parties.

It will probably be Hillary anyway. She has 48%of the vote locked in already. Most women will side with her alt. With the demographic shift, once Texas goes blue, it is all over

I like Carson but he will not carry enough of the Black vote to win for the GOP. That iCarly Fartaringo has no plan but cites other plans of other politicians in a manner she can disavow. For Carson to be a true independent, I think Trump cold swap some positive programs for his support and offer some frufru CEO job to iCarly.
JEB is fried and baffled.
Rubio sold out to the GOP when he went pro illegal immigration, gang of 8.
