The House overwhelmingly passed legislation on Tuesday (407 to 19) that would overhaul the federal visa waiver program and bar those from Iraq, Syria, Iran and the Sudan, or those who have visited those countries in the last five years, from traveling to the United States without a visa.
Action on the proposal comes in response to the recent attacks in Paris from ISIS operatives, and the shooting in California by a couple that expressed support for the terror group on social media.
"This will help neutralize the threat from foreign terrorists entering our country," House Speaker Paul Ryan said on Tuesday.

Well, that will either be filibustered in the Senate, or passed and then vetoed. My money is on filibuster. The Dems are more afraid of party discipline than voter rejection.
Better include Saudi Arabia!
And Syria!
In fact, all Muslim dominated states!
What about Somalia and Pakistan or Yemen, blah blah.. The Dems want GUN CONTROL in exchange for yes votes.
Several high ranking Democratic officials were spotted leaving the famed Capitol Hill watering hole Tortilla Coast. On the menu, discussions of Obamaâs decision to grant political asylum to 500,000 (mostly Muslim) Syrian refugees.
Following a report recently released from Amnesty International that Jordan had forcibly removed thousands of refugees to their home country, the Obama administration has decided to take action. âAmnesty is extremely concerned about this trend. While Jordan has made tremendous efforts to accommodate half a million refugees, and is facing pressures as a result, these do not justify such violations of international law,â says Amnestys Neil Sammonds, who worked on the report.
The UN has also released a report stating that Syrians in Jordan now account for 10 percent of the countryâs total population and Jordans economy simply cannot support such a large influx of immigrants. Approximately 2 million Syrian refugees have fled to neighboring countries in the region including Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and Lebanon. According to the report, 6 million Syrians are in desperate need of help and 4 million have been displaced due to the ongoing Syrian civil war.
The Syrian civil war broke out on March 15, 2011 and nationwide demonstrations grew large by April 2011 as part of the protest movement known as the Arab Spring. The protesters demanded the immediate resignation of President Bahar al-Assad, whose family has been in power since 1971.
National Report confirmed that Obama will announce his intent to grant refugees immediate citizenship status under the guise of political asylum (which triggers hefty monthly SS checks).
Camps are being setup in rural areas across the US to temporarily house the refugees complete with FEMA housing, temporary Mosques and schools.

I assume this unfortunately includes Christians.
My, my. Looks like the political establishment is getting all concerned.
Admiral Yamamoto’s quote would be appropriate.
I suggest building a big beautiful wall and a ban on ALL immigration for the next 50 years....but that’s just me.
Fiction now, fiction then.
Bingo they have gone way over the leftward cliff... now they want the rest of America to follow them...
when they can label it extremism to make a very reasonable request that Muslim immigration should be placed on hold until we can ensure our vetting processes are not allowing radical Islamic Jihadists entry into the country to kill us. Even in the face of their own failure to stop a Jihadist from coming here on a marriage visa....
Not enough nations on that list !
That’s the great sin of this. They would leave Christians and Jews to die, sacrificing them on the altar of political correctness because they WON’T put on paper what we all know to be true, that Muslims are the problem. Christian Middle Easterners are not a threat to anyone.
Wait a minute, wasn’t the media and usual GOPe suspects all a-Twitter about this this morning...that it couldn’t be done, unconstitutional, against our principles?
Got that bass ackwards.
Of course, even if Obama passed this, he’d simply expedite granting a bunch of visas to Muslims, and skip the Christians.
