There is no question Cruz is the smarter and more consistent conservative.

I’d be more happy with him as President.

But I give the edge to Trump on electability. Maybe also because Trump will shake the establishment tree even more violently.

Either one would be a strong President.

Trump, like Hillary, polls very high negatives. Those need to go down before his electability can be assured. Unlike Hillary he can’t use vote fraud to carry him over the negatives.

I do like cruz but I do not like the fact he has the same fatal flaw as other establishment candidates. He is beholding to k street dollars.

Both Cruz and Trump are quite acceptable to me.

I prefer Cruz.

But I can totally live with Trump.

Trump is least electable, except for Bush, Graham, etc. Its hard to tell because he may bring out people who are otherwise not likely to vote, but most likely voter models say he’d be easier to beat

Electability is always, ALWAYS a myth.

Trade principles for electability and you will lose. every time. If not at the polls, then in the resulting actions of the candidate once in office - a Pyrrhic victory, as they say.

Popularity is a distraction, and conservatives should be ashamed of themselves if that is their guiding motive.
