French authorities have closed down three mosques since the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, and there are many more to come.
Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve will show no mercy toward radical mosques as long as France is in a state of emergency. The third mosque was shut down Wednesday after police found "jihadist documents" during a raid east of Paris.

"According to official figures and our discussions with the interior ministry, between 100 and 160 more mosques will be closed because they are run illegally without proper licenses, they preach hatred or use takfiri speech," El Alaoui told Al Jazeera.

Far from saying that Jews and Christians are not welcome, there is a heritage of Christianity that lies under the surface, and it is merely the secular society that suppresses discussion.
However, they rally in mass numbers when tenets of Christian thought are opposed, such as you saw with the homosexual marriage topic.
I have a feeling they will not only come back, but come back very strong if the spread of islam increases. They are not suicidal people, and believe strongly in family.
The Jewish acquaintances fear only the muslim violence against them ... They are not fearful of French nationals.

It might come to that if many of the recent wave of military age male “refugees” rise up in a mass of attacks, like the Tet Offensive. Even if they don’t swarm attacks, more attacks are likely in store.
