A guide to "inclusive" Christmas decorations created by Cornell University warns that any decorations that remotely evoke religion, which includes stars and mistletoe, are incompatible with the school's commitment to diversity.
The university then rattles off a list of decorations that are "NOT consistent" with the school's "commitment to diversity and inclusiveness." The discouraged decorations include the following:

The schools says that holly, Santa Clauses, and wreaths might be acceptable decorations, but only after "dialogue within [a] living unit or area" to ensure nobody is offended.
Universities around the country have been issuing Christmas guidelines aimed at discouraging the display of religious symbols. A recent guidance email at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, for instance, warned against letting holiday parties become "Christmas parties in disguise" and discouraged using terms such as "Secret Santa" because they could offend people.

It’s hard to turn these fools out. They just keep putting their idiocy in your face.
“In the spirit of inclusiveness and diversity, the following words, topics and ideas are not to be mentioned.” The montra of colleges and schools today.
George Orwell should have written a sequel, “1985”.
Wife and I were at a nice steak house last night consuming beef and beverage. The place was packed. The wife sneezes loudly...and someone well across the restaurant says loudly “God bless you!” Wife sneezes again...the waitress standing two tables down says “God bless you” and smiles at us.
I think there’s hope.
Way too festive, NO!!!!!!! I’m glad I grew up when I did.......
I wonder what they would think of decorating a “holiday” tree with hundreds tuition checks marked VOID?
What an insult to those who celebrate Christmas. Not very “inclusive” of them.
Besides the fact that their faculties are riddled with rabid liberals, some very clear financial imperatives are at work here.
From student loans and grants (e.g., Pell and others), to grants and funding for research, every university has to try and find some balance between legitimate academic endeavors and political influence. An honorable administration would not tie these financial incentives to political goals. THIS administration is ALL ABOUT carrot and stick. We now have the most despicable government ever in control during this proud country’s history.
Mistletoe is Judeo/Christian? I thought it came from the Druids.
Mistletoe, where will the gays kiss?
When New York State closed it’s mental institutions back in the 1980s it obviously missed one.
when considering employee applicants , the well reasoned policy shoudl be exclusive of cornell graduates
>>Yah, it also has pagan origins; with the ancient Greeks and later the Celtics. You would think the Libs would embrace it because of this.
They don’t like it because it encourages boys to kiss girls. If it encouraged boys to kiss boys, they’d be in favor of it.
A few Godless creeps at these universities have taken over. They wanted to live their immoral lives so they pushed their evil on everyone else.
We need to quit funding with our tax dollars these wicked colleges and universities.
Send the heads of the universities that are doing this a pacifier.
Life imitates South Park.......
“Here is the happy, non-offensive, non-denominational school play.....”

Were I a student at Cornell, I’d be walking around with a piece of mistletoe pinned to my shirttail.
All part of the plan to usher in an atheistic society. Why should somebody be offended by another expressing their spirituality?
As I recall from my youth mistletoe was very diverse? Meant you didn’t discimate, kissed all the girls.
These people are freakin nuts.
Of course, the condoms Democrats use to decorate the
White House trees are all PC in their red & green
wrappers. Those and lights are all they need.
