Lord the guy gets a pension for 4 years as VP doing nothing. Completely took down the nation cause he stupid and can’t spell. He totally gave Clinton the presidency on a silver platter in an instance.

So is Murphy Brown.

The media used Dan Quayle like a human pinata.

I remember when Lloyd Bentsen chapped his hide in the 1988 VP debate, and he sat there grinning like a Cheshire cat.

There were so many others that should have been chosen.

I never understood why Bush picked Quayle.

To me, it was not prudent......

Is that because Trump could have won the nomination and defeated Bill Clinton in 1996, or that with Trump at his side, Bush would not have lost in 1992 ?

If Trump had spelled the famous tuber as "Potatoe" it would have been spelled that way in every dictionary within a year.

Because it’s now easier for him to become POTUS?

Quayle - just another GOP, Caspar Milquetoast loser in a long line of them. Might be a nice guy, but these guys don't know how to fight.

Bush would never pick a VP more successful or well liked than himself.

That is why Bush picked Quayle. Because Quayle is a moron.

Hmmm.... I thought Trump was a democrat? Trump identified as a Republican back in 1988. Another GOPe myth bites the dust.

Bill Clinton is also glad that Dan Quayle was chosen and not Trump.

I have a good buddy who hired Quayle after the election. He ended up firing him for incompetence.

This shows that Trump was a Republican back in 1988. This goes against what has been posted on this board by the hacks.

Quayle should have been dumped from the ticket in 1992.
