I agents on Saturday raided a Riverside home belonging to a friend of San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook as they try to determine whether the man purchased two of the semiautomatic rifles used in the massacre, according to a law enforcement source.
The source, who asked to remain anonymous because the case is ongoing, said officials have been trying to talk to man to see what he knows about the attack. It's far from clear whether the man had anything to do with the violence or even knew what Farook did with the guns, the source added. A second source said the guns were purchased three years ago.
The search warrant was served at the home on Tomlinson Avenue, according FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said. She did not have a specific address.
"The warrant has been sealed by the court and I am prohibited from commenting further," she said.
Victor Venegas, who lives in the neighborhood, said law enforcement showed up at a home in the 3800 block of Tomlinson Avenue early Saturday and stayed for a few hours.
He and other neighbors have said Enrique Marquez, Jr., a young man who lived at the home, and Farook appeared to be good friends. The source said Marquez is the person the FBI is seeking to interview.
Farook, his parents and siblings lived on Tomlinson for several years before moving out a few months ago. Marquez lived next door.
While Farook generally kept to himself, the one exception was his friendship with Marquez, who like him, loved to tinker with cars, neighbors said.
On Thursday, Gustavo Ramirez, who said he was Marquez' stepdad told a Times reporter that he and his wife hadn't heard from Marquez since Wednesday afternoon and were concerned. Ramirez said it was unlike Marquez not to...

They probably know who has been in the house and what was going on there.
In California there is no need to wonder whether or not a reasonable amount of time has passed. I could own a gun for a decade, and it would still be illegal for me to sell it without involving a dealer. CA has the ‘universal background check’ the left pushes...and it did absolutely nothing to stop this.
Another bullshit law. What an awful place. So our jihadi friends had the guns illegally? That’s my take.
They had them illegally through a straw purchase.
CA also bans quick release magazines...and they illegally modified them to remove the fixed/bullet button magazine.
CA limits mags to 10 rounds...they had 30 round magazines.
CA requires guns be transported in a locked container - this was violated.
CA prohibits transporting a loaded weapon. This was violated.
Plenty of gun laws were violated.
Funnyman you are. If they would have done that Obama would have told me so.
It would be pretty hard not to have known of this event. - tom

snip- Agents raided the home of Enrique Marquez on Tomlinson Avenue in Riverside, Calif. shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, a source told ticklethewire.com. Its unclear what agents came away with.
Marquez was not home and had earlier self-admitted himself into a mental health facility in Long Beach, Calif.
Is there a linky?
This makes NO sense...they found the smashed cell phones; they have their computers and bank records...WHY can’t they get their phone records? What judge would NOT issue a warrant? It should be a rubber stamp.
The third shooter? The driver since Malek didn’t drive? Off somewhere w/the rest of the cell?
Earlier self admitted to a psych ward...earlier how? Earlier BEFORE the shooting (Wed or Thursday) or earlier as in sometime in the past (i.e., he has ongoing mental health issues).
The story gets muddied with each passing update...almost (tin foil chapeau in place) seems INTENTIONAL.
At first I thought the planning of this event wasn't aided and abetted by one or more 3-letter agencies, but now I'm not so sure. Open house to the media at the crime scene? Say WHAT? Or maybe the FBI wanted us to see the Quran on that coffee table?
I heard a “witness” interviewed on the radio who said she is CERTAIN she saw 3 shooters, not 2.
I doubt Marquez 'loaned' them, nor would he buy them as a gift. He had to have sold them which is a crime. Feel free to correct me on the values.
Or you would expect the person who did to hit the highway. I would suspect the guy knew he was breaking the law. Like most criminals he did not care what the guns would be used for, he wanted the cash. I would bet the house this guy is down Mexico way, considering his name. This has become a twofer, Muslim terrorists aided by illegal alien from south of the border.
Let me revise my statement. Change illegal alien to anchor baby.
Still illegal in California. Has to go through a legal gun dealer , waiting period, etc.
I’d doubt ‘loaning’ is a valid excuse in California. The guns and sights...and trip to Saudi all seem very expensive to me, especially for a guy making $70k in California with a new baby. I wonder if he had an, ahem, benefactor from Trashcanistan or some place similar.
Interesting.
Unless you are standing right besides the person you loaned your firearm to at all times, loaning is illegal.
