When Jeb Bush goes down, heâs taking the rest of the GOP field with him (except Donald Trump). That, at least, is what will happen if Mike Murphy, the head of Bushâs super PAC Right to Rise, gets his way.
Right to Rise has $75 million in the bank, and Murphyâs not going to let it go to waste, according to Politico:
According to another source close to Right to Rise, Murphy has been floating another tactical shift to potential supporters, suggesting that he might spend the bulk of the $75 million to carpet bomb Rubio, Cruz, Carson, Christieâeveryone but Trump. The thinking: making the race into a binary choice between Bush and Trump might be the only way a majority of primary voters go with Bush.

I think this is all a show on Trump's part. I think Bubba put him up to this, although he's certainly enjoying it. I don't think he's doing it to be President, but to drive a stake into conservatism by telling them what they want to hear and then shafting them into oblivion. If he wins, he'll do the Kay Baily Hutchison 2007 Operation Touchback amnesty bringing the illegals right back in. Or he may do the RINO swan dive for his friends the Clintons and in the media right on cue, saying something so outrageous that it will offend the voters against Republicans permanently. He is, after all, a media creation.
How is Cruz an outsider? He is a professional politician. He has spent almost his entire adult life in government much of it in Washington DC. His wife Heidi is a CFR member and a leading executive at Golden Sachs, a most influential Wall Street firm. I do not get the Cruz is an outsider thing. He and she are very much insiders.
The gaggle that political pseudo "experts" such as Karl Rove, have assembled to direct the Republican Party, and the sheep they are still able to program, are what most of us consider to be the Republican "insiders." In no sense is there any evidence that the Cruzes are part of any such cabal. The Senator has repeatedly challenged their leadership; repeatedly exposed their folly.
A stupid tactic to be sure. But who is suggesting that the subject individual is particularly well endowed above the neck?
Insiders don’t call the Senate leader of their own party a liar from the well of the senate.
You like another candidate, I get it. But lets acknowledge reality.
Most of are already at that point, but thanks for the help with those like yourself that haven't yet awoke.
There will be a mandate and coattails
LOL!! Says you, the sage of FR.
Sounds like you aren’t having any fun. You should be used like this. Skunking the field for six months has been nothing short of a blast.
Now THAT is the way WE “deal with it”. How about you, toots? Is your guy hanging it out there for six months straight, or lapping the field yet, or even cracked out of single digits in any sustained way?
Do get back to us when you can compete, at some level beyond your active imagination.
Yes. Yes. And, yes! These are real issues and because they are swept under the rug for now does not mean they won’t be brought up eventually.
I’m with YOU! Trump loves Carl. Surely, he won’t stick him in Treasury, but you know there is untold power at Treasury, including martialing and investigative powers.
Trump does not seem like the type to have a VP doing essentially nothing. Seems like he will pick someone who can actively help in his plan to fix this country. JMO
I don't have a guy.

Imagination is all you have. Enjoy your fantasy world.
Your projector is out of focus.
Another deep and detailed and thoughtful analysis from the cheap seats. Is this all you’ve got?
Do get a rhetorical act together that’s a little longer on facts and shorter on TDS, so you can play too.
Sorry Carry not this time.
Looks like it to me baring anything unexpected like martial law.
A lot of lower level elections the R’s are going to jump on the Trump bandwagon/juggernaut. Hasn’t happened yet, but it will.
The President has hundreds of jobs to fill. The VP is not exactly necessary for anything other than helping the President get elected. It would help if he understood the Senate. And he could be trusted to give speeches without putting his foot in his mouth. The reality is the President has no authority over the VP and vice-a-versa.
Except the conservatives like Trump and Cruz that is.
