A federal court in California will hear a case next week that could pave the way for women to be required to register for the draft.
The hearing involves an existing suit from the National Coalition for Men against Selective Service, which oversees the process by which men age 18 and above register for the military. The case is set to be heard Dec. 8 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit in Pasadena, California.
The hearing will take place just days after Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced all military combat positions would be open to women. Service leaders had sought to keep some front-line posts as male-only positions but Carter said no jobs will be off limits to women, as long as they qualify and meet specific standards...

As far as I am concerned this law suit is a good idea. Invalidate the draft registration law. End the draft registration. The government will stop spending a few million dollars a year on a program that produces nothing.
If we did suddenly need a draft it could be started up in a few days with web based system.
As a side note I would be interested to know if anyone had ever been prosecuted for failing to register for the draft.
With all due respect Bryanw92, you miss my point. I didn’t particularly bother to spell it out, but being a mirror image of the idiot feminists is NOT the way to address it.
None of the complaints you lodged against modern women apply to my wife or daughters, and I will not permit them to be dragged into your understandable annoyance at the contradictions of modern feminism.
My daughters are not being raised with any of those values, and I will not let the feminists and their cohorts in an idiotic “men’s rights” movement put them in harm’s way or to partake in anything so antithetical to basic civilized decency.
Going along with such barbarism just concedes the whole ground to the feminists and their neutered cohorts, and I will not cooperate. I also do not acknowledge any intelligence of “showing them” by buying into it as a general principle. We do not fight them by being like them. We fight them by being strong virtuous men and women, using those spheres appropriate to each sex and to our state in life.
These days, with Obama at the helm, it is a 50-50 crap shoot whether the armed forces as used are serving U.S. interests.

I was a draft board member in the late 1980’s and 1990’s. We were **this** close to drafting physicians during Desert Storm.

Then they can refuse to register. Making change takes risk. They need to stand up to the feminists because our resistance only makes them stronger and more resolute.
They need to be rendered impotent by women who refuse to accept their paradigm. If we protect the good women from the feminists, then no one will ever be in a position to fight them.
If your daughter is reaping the rewards of feminism without having to pay the costs, then she is contributing nothing to the fight.

Because they dont really want equality, they want superiority and all the female-beneficial double standard exceptions they desire.
They want men hampered by laws and rules, and they only want the laws and rules to apply to men alone. They want all the benefits of equality and none of the nasty responsibility that comes with it.
Which is why traditioal demanding male dominated fields of dangerous and/or messy jobs are not swarming with women doing said jobs for decades.

Over the past couple hundred years, many young American males were killed in battle or preparing for battle. It’s time that American females did their fair share of dying.
Men have had to pay attention to politics because their lives might depend on who gets elected. Females haven’t had to worry about that. It’s time they did.
Either we have equality in dying, or we don’t have equality.
It’s the Democrat Party that is pushing this. If the females don’t like where this is going, they should stop voting for Democrats.

Women are both the rate limiting factor for population continuance and the rate limiting step. One baby per year. Only women between about 14 and 40 can do the trick.
If you kill or sterilize or maim your women in that age group you will cease to exist as a society.

My daughters will NOT be janissaries for whatever war the Saudi’s want us to fight. I’m not happy that ANY of our children have been the Saudi janissaries for a quarter century.
