Actually, only the Texas border is the Rio Grand..

I never stated otherwise. It is 59% of the border.

That is "most" which is what I claimed.

I would build the fence on our side of the river

Thus giving the river to the Mexicans.

I believe the border probably runs down the middle, but having it on our side will suffice

Spoken like someone who does not own river land here.

Look, man.. a simple wall just ain't going to get it.
I wish it did.. but there is more to be considered.

I'm not dissing a wall.. I'm pointing out that if we're to put one in Texas, it ain't going to wipe out a whole region.

No Sir, you may NOT have our river.

Nobody is talking about giving anyone the river.

We can provide access, maintain rights, AND control the border too in stopping illegal swimmers/waders.

The fact is, we HAVE to control our border. We can work with land owners to do that.

I was raised in Texas on a ranch, so I do in fact know what I am talking about.

I have also worked for decades with water rights here in the west against rogues in the government and understand the water issues as well.

I am willing to bet you dollars to doughnuts that the VAST majority of them will be more than willing to work with the right administration to make it happen.

This can be made to work, and it can be done without destroying water or land rights. The fact is...there is a border, and it has to be controlled.
