Terror Strikes San Bernardino County

When the Redlands Tea Party Patriots objected to the resettling of Syrian Muslim migrants in their community, CAIR accused them of "paranoia and phobia is rooted in a combination of ignorance and bigotry."

But "paranoia and phobia" are the modern condition that the free world has found itself living in. Islamic terrorism can strike anytime and anywhere from a Paris concert hall to a San Bernardino County facility where disabled children were being helped. It's ignorance to ignore that and bigotry to defend it.

"What will be done to ensure the safety of our community? Our biggest concern is the safety of our family, our children and our grandchildren," Victoria Hargrave of Redlands Townhall had asked.

It was a good question. As the country watched police charge towards a home in the Redlands, it has become an even better question.

The shooter has been named as Sayeed Farouk. His father described him as a religiously devout Muslim. "He was very religious. He would go to work, come back, go to pray, come back." Co-workers say that he "grew a beard and started to wear religious clothing. The long shirt that's like a dress and the cap on his head."

And at some point his "religiosity" took him down the familiar path of Jihad.

The evolving media narrative is that familiar standby of "workplace violence". The sort of workplace violence involving an attack by multiple terrorists wearing body armor and throwing pipe bombs shortly after an argument at a party.

If you believe this version of the "workplace violence" story, the shooter stormed out of a party and 20 minutes later had managed to round up multiple heavily armed attackers to avenge his party argument.

It's certainly a story. Even if it isn't a very good story. And yet it's a story that we keep hearing over and over again.

It begins with lies and ends with body bags.

Everything possible was done to deny Nidal Hassan's terrorist motivations in the Fort Hood Massacre. His attack was deemed workplace violence. Even his own attempts to explain that he supported the terrorists were shut down so that he was reduced to smuggling messages to get his story out.

And despite multiple statements by Hassan that he was a terrorist, the official story is still workplace violence. Right after the shooting, it was some strain of airborne PTSD that had somehow transmitted itself from American veterans to the Muslim employee who had never seen combat until he began killing them.

There are always excuses.

The Times Square bomber had financial issues. The Tsarnaev terrorists were poorly adjusted. Once the media digs into Farouk's life, it will no doubt find that he had financial issues, was poorly adjusted and may have even been suffering from some mysterious form of airborne PTSD.

Obama and the media would like to make this story about "gun violence". But guns don't shoot themselves. There is a hand that pulls the trigger and a mind whose foul purposes that hand serves.

Gun violence is not a mechanical problem. It is not a hardware problem of guns going off at random. It is not a biological problem of fingers randomly twitching on triggers. It is a problem of the mind.

Behind each massacre, there is a mind. And it is that mind, its ideas and its beliefs, that kills.

San Bernardino is home to what is described as a "growing Muslim population" and that growth comes with terrifying growing pains.

This latest attack appears to be one of them.

It's a matter of simple math that as the population most likely to commit terrorist acts increases, so do the acts themselves.

Two months ago, Marilyn Snyder of the Redlands Tea Party Patriots wrote of "the runners and spectators of the Boston Marathon who never imagined that refugee jihadists were stealthily plotting their demise - just because they were not Muslims."

Most people in San Bernardino County did not expect that anyone was plotting to kill them. They did not think that one evening the events from far-off France would suddenly be taking place where they lived.

And yet that is the new reality.

Islamic terrorism can strike anywhere and everywhere.

"While it is impossible to prevent death delivered by madmen who kill because of religious extremism, it is possible to put in place federal policies that limit the influx of Muslim extremists through the wide-open refugee doors of the Obama administration," Marilyn wrote.

That remains true.

Sayeed Farouk, like Nidal Hassan, did not suddenly fly over here from Syria. But that only makes it more vital that we prevent the next attack and the next massacre by closing the doors and keeping our country safe.

We cannot bring back the dead, the victims of the long horrifying roll of Islamic terror that stretches back for thousands of years, but we can protect the living.

The left approaches this as a mechanical problem, but it's an ideological problem. It's a conflict between two sets of ideas and two sets of worldviews. It is a war between those who believe that men must be ruled by the dead will of Mohammed and his brutal successors and those of us who believe in the freedom of our founding documents and the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It is not a war that we will win through appeasement or disarmament. And we can begin to fight back by protecting ourselves and our country.

"We Redlanders and all Americans need to stand up with "common sense and judgment" with an emphatic "No!" to Syrian refugee resettlement. It's time to bar the doors against jihadi infiltration," Marilyn wrote.

From Redland to Paris, it's time that we did the right thing, for our towns, our cities and our country.

Dec 2, 2015: Texas sues feds to keep 6 Syrian refugees out

"....The state asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas to block the resettlement and to order the defendants to "comply with their statutory and contractual duties to the state."

Instead of working with the state to resettle refugees, as the law declares, the federal government and the International Rescue Committee "have left Texas uninformed about refugees that could well pose a security risk to Texans and without any say in the process of resettling these refugees," the state said in its lawsuit.

"In addition to Texas undertaking more than its share in the task of resettling refugees than any other State, Texas has the sovereign authority and duty to protect the safety of its residents," it added, noting that Texas accepts roughly 10 percent of all refugees headed to the United States.

The lawsuit is an escalation of state officials' revolt against President Obama's plans to bring 10,000 Syrian refugees to the country over the next year, following on fears that Islamic extremists could hide in their midst.

Shortly after deadly terrorist attacks in Paris last month, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and 15 other governors pledged to block refugees from resettling within their borders, even as the Obama administration warned that they didn't have the legal right. According to the Obama administration's legal reasoning, refugee resettlement is a federal matter, and states would violate the Civil Rights Act by denying the migrants service....."

Obama and company will spin this as a crime. He absolutely won’t allow the taint of a terror attack on his record. Of course his spin will smear Hillary as well. Sad it takes something like this to possibly settle an election.

“We Redlanders and all Americans need to stand up with “common sense and judgment” with an emphatic “No!” to Syrian refugee resettlement. It’s time to bar the doors against jihadi infiltration,”

We actually need much more than that.. We need to acknowledge the pure stupidity of denying American citizens there constitutional right to carry a concealed firearm.

Virtually all of the attacks in America and Europe are taking place where general citizens can’t carry guns for protection. At some point, it has to become apparent to gun control advocates that gun-free zones only protect the killers.

When do we say enough? Politicians lead us, as sheep to the slaughter. We allow this naive approach to personal protection at our own peril.

“....When shootings like this happen in the United States, the first reaction of the American right is to blame either lunatics with mental issues or terrorists. They do not instictively blame their fellow Americans with whom they have political disagreements. But time and time again, whenever there is a shooting, whether it is Floyd Lee Corkins shooting up the Family Research Council, the gay reporter in Virginia killing his two colleagues, the Islamic terrorist in Chattanooga, TN, or the three jihadists in California yesterday, the left always blames their political opponents. Their opponents tend to be mostly white, mostly Christian Republicans....”

0bama should be impeached for his refusal to acknowledge Jihadist attacks on American soil.

The President is guilty of incompetence at best, and treason at worst.

What is being done to the People, at the hands of our so-called "leaders" and the media, is truly breathtaking.

Any individuals or corporate entities that knowingly propagate such lies, jeopardizing the security of this nation and its People, are complicit in these crimes, and traitors to the Unites States: congressmen, media, bloggers, Presidents, judges.

This insane state of denial must end.

This bullshit that is being fed to the masses (by ideologues who are apparently completely detached from reality) is a national disgrace.

A few more incidents like this, coupled with the blatant and transparent lies from our "leaders" and the media, will likely foment civil "unrest" in this country on a scale never before seen.

the radio guy in DC put it best..
If you take all the muslims and remove them from planet earth, terrorism and cross border conflicts would almost surely disappear. The world would be in relative “peace” meaning absent of military conflict because all the military effort over and the loss of life over the last 15 years has been in the name of tamping down muslims.
If you were to eliminate all other religions and allow muslims to live on the own planet, what would you have? A constant state of war and conflict and the last two muslims would be trying to find a way to kill each other.

"...human life is precious. We respect human life."-CAIR

Except for the uncomfortable fact that non-Muslims are characterized as pigs and apes in Islamic doctrine...hardly human.

CAIR suggests this was a work related terrorist attack...I.e. "Workplace violence"...or mental illness related...both handy and frequently relied on characterizations used to obfuscate Islam's undeniable culpability.

MSM reports suggest Farook was an environmental specialist.

The 'current-occupant-of-the-oval-office' insists 'climate change' is our most serious enemy/concern, and is using the UN (57 nation OIC puppet) & EPA...'environmental protection agency' to address those concerns. He also wrote ...should the political climate shift, he would side with the Muslims.

There have been multiple recent ludicrous public declarations suggesting terrorism was triggered by climate change/global warming.

I'm noticing a lot of coincidences with the use of familiar terminology being used covertly to support Islamic interests...including the climate summit in Paris, at which he promised mega bucks to fight global warming. Those $$. are likely diverted to further fund the migration and arming of these male able bodied migrants who became migrants ...allegedly due to global warming....etc.

Global warming= people waking to danger of Islam, the doctrine for eternal war against all non-believers.
