If Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination, some of the most prominent conservative voices in the country say they would find it difficult, if not impossible, to support him.
Trump has sparred with many of America’s most noted conservative opinion makers over the course of his campaign, calling them “losers†and “idiots†on Twitter when they criticize him in columns and on television for what they perceive as his “clown[ish]†behavior, history of supporting liberal positions and demagoguery. But as it becomes increasingly evident the real estate billionaire actually has a real shot of winning the nomination, some are outright declaring that they wouldn’t support Trump as the nominee, even against Hillary Clinton.
“Couldn’t vote for Trump, couldn’t vote for Hillary,†Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol told The Daily Caller in an email.
“Would have to find a good conservative to run as an independent whom I could vote for,†he added, before presumably joking: “Or will have to run myself!â€
Conservative radio talk show host Michael Medved said he has begun to question whether he could support Trump as the Republican nominee.

Michael Medved is no conservative. However, I occasionally listen to his show for an update on the GOPe party line.

I saw kristol the other day, sneer and the hate coming from his talk against Trump. For those who can’t stand Trump... we’ve had to tolerate obama for 7 plus years... and YOU DID NOTHING TO STOP HIM.. that’s the reason Trump is gonna win this thing... to remove the left overs of obams’ reign of terror... kristol.. go somewhere and cry...

Humph, these guys are hardly conservative pillars.
I’m not for Trump, but I surely do like the effect he’s had on the media in general.
D. Trump is far, far more conservative than Hillary. There should be no question in their minds than when it comes to Trump vs Hillary, they should be doing all they can to support Trump. Hillary's win would be an enormous disaster.
Those elitist so-called conservatives can’t stand Trump.
Unfortunately for them, they don’t have the votes or the influence to defeat him.
Kristol and Medved were conservative and making differences back when Trump was praising Bill and Hillary, hanging out with Russell Simmons and sharing women with his Hip-Hop buddies.
I say this as a Cruz supporter who also fully supports Trump and understands this is a revolution and that Trump/Cruz will do more to turn this country around and break the stasis than any other option.
I can’t hardly stand to listen to Medved anymore, but he has contributed to the cause. Same with Kristol.

Years ago, Medved was a fill-in for Rush. Rush knew. I haven’t heard from Medved for years. I hope I won’t hear from him for another “years”.

Maybe it’s because Trump is an opportunist, not a conservative.
There is certainly no doubt that Trump is NOT an innate Constitutional believer/follower.
