If Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination, some of the most prominent conservative voices in the country say they would find it difficult, if not impossible, to support him.
Trump has sparred with many of America’s most noted conservative opinion makers over the course of his campaign, calling them “losers†and “idiots†on Twitter when they criticize him in columns and on television for what they perceive as his “clown[ish]†behavior, history of supporting liberal positions and demagoguery. But as it becomes increasingly evident the real estate billionaire actually has a real shot of winning the nomination, some are outright declaring that they wouldn’t support Trump as the nominee, even against Hillary Clinton.
“Couldn’t vote for Trump, couldn’t vote for Hillary,†Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol told The Daily Caller in an email.
“Would have to find a good conservative to run as an independent whom I could vote for,†he added, before presumably joking: “Or will have to run myself!â€
Conservative radio talk show host Michael Medved said he has begun to question whether he could support Trump as the Republican nominee.

If you’ve listened to Michael Medved’s radio show the last couple of months, it is quite clear he opposes the Trump candidacy.
Oh for the days of a Hucklebee or Romney, those candidates fired him up.
Kristol, Medved are a little too in love with themselves. When they get ruffled up they run to their safe zone. You might want to throw in Prager in the mix.
These people are out of touch too. they want to make opinion not realize just how out of touch they are.

If you can’t support Trump - who is the only one who is really right on the single most important issue (illegal immigration) facing us - if he wins the nomination, then you’re a pretty piss-poor “conservative.”

Just today Medved said on his show that if Trump becomes the nominee he will support Trump. He’s said so several times. No, he isn’t in favor of him now for the primary, nor are most conservatives.
I don’t know if I can support a liberal like Trump or not. Will see.
Medved has never had a kind word for The Donald. It’s called “damning with faint praise”
