Packed.....100 people.....?????
Come on, the place only holds about 90 or so. It was an overflow crowd!! Should have scheduled the event in a larger venue, say a place that would hold about 150 or so.
Iowa is a caucus state. People living in a voting precinct, and the numbers are not huge there, meet together and come up with one candidate they agree on. The key to winning a precinct before caucus day, is go where they are in restaurants, bars, etc., and speak with them personally.
That is how Iowa is won, speak to them personally and they go and tell their friends who were not there. On caucus night, all of them in one precinct meet together. A speech is made for each candidate if the candidate has appointed someone to speak for him/her.
See, it’s personal contact that matters in Iowa, not a stadium full of people.
