Iran Nuclear Deal Isn't A Bad Deal After All; It's No Deal

Nuclear Charade: The Obama administration admits to Congress that its nuclear pact with Iran has not been signed by the Iranian regime and has no legal force. Obama's "tough diplomacy" is puff diplomacy.

The White House's latest updated "Strategy for American Innovation" left one innovation out: diplomatic pacts with other countries that don't have to be signed.

Maybe President Obama will say that it saves the taxpayers money, since it eliminates signing ceremonies in lavish locales.

Going back to when, as a candidate, he expressed a willingness to talk directly with Iran, then through months of negotiations on its nuclear program, Obama never said that at the end of it all the Iranians might never bother to sign the deal that he promises will prevent the terror state from becoming nuclear-armed.

Or that the lack of Iran's signature was OK.

But that is exactly what Obama's State Department now says, in a Nov. 19 written response to a letter to Secretary John Kerry from Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kan., obtained by National Review's Joel Gehrke.

"The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document," according to Julia Frifield, assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs.

Well then why all the political machinations and persuasions to pass this through Congress, if the damn thing is not legally binding and Iran never officially agreed to it anyway??? What the heck???

He wants the U.S. compelled to honor his personal commitments to Iran without any commitments from Iran.

The longer the Administration, and its chief liars (Obama and Kerry), can keep from admitting the truth about their failure (not pushing it through Congress) the better chances that Hilary might get elected.

Can you imagine the backlash across the entire political spectrum when it comes out that the administration knew from the start that there could be no final agreement/treaty?

The “agreement” is really a hope as in the hope and change we were promised.

Iran knows they are dealing with a paper tiger. Sad part is, I think it is going to get worse, lots worse before it gets better.
I seriously doubt the next president, regardless whom it is will be able to bring us back to where we were just 10-12 years ago. Or even the next 10.

Rhetorical questions: So are the sanctions still in place?

Because it would have been >stupid< of us to remove the sanctions without Iran signing the agreement.

Maybe someone knows better than I, but I thought that at least American companies would be subject to civil liability by investors if they violated existing sanctions, since the "deal" was never a valid agreement.

Besides the fact that apparently Iran has not signed it, the Congressional approval did not occur because the Administration did not disclose all the terms of the "deal" as required by the Corker bill as a prerequisite to Congressional approval.

Obama made sure his islamobazi pals in Iran get the $150 Billion dollars. So they can finance evrn more nuclear bombs, ICBM,s, other weapons , and more terrorist murder gangs to spread Islam around the world like in Europe and the good old USA and while it’s largely off-radar, Latin America It’s all about weakening USA and the west - while building up the global Islamic caliphate ( empire). $150 Billion and nuclear icbm’s will do that — a whole lot. (Chalk up another obsma victory)
