Robert Lewis Dear, a 57-year-old from North Carolina, has been named as the suspected gunman behind a standoff at a Planned Parenthood health clinic in which three people died and nine were injured.
After he was named, Barack Obama said on Saturday the US had “to do something about the easy accessibility of weapons of war on our streets to people who have no business wielding themâ€.
“Period,†the president added, in a statement released by the White House. “Enough is enough.â€
Officials speaking off the record gave the suspect’s identity to news outlets late on Friday. On Saturday morning, the city of Colorado Springs confirmed Dear’s identity and released a booking photo taken at the El Paso County criminal justice center.
Early reports portrayed Dear as a loner who lived in a rural cabin and did not noticeably discuss issues such as religion or abortion. Motive therefore remained unclear in the attack, which police said on Friday was carried out with a “long gun†– usually a reference to a rifle or shotgun.
On Saturday, Colorado Springs mayor John Suthers told reporters authorities were not ready to discuss a possible motive for the shooting, but said people could make “inferences from where it took placeâ€.
Suthers said investigators had interviewed Dear but added wanted to learn more about him.
On Saturday, a police spokesperson said unspecified “items†left at the scene by the suspect had been “secured and and processed, and are no longer a threatâ€.
The crime scene perimeter around the Planned Parenthood clinic had been reduced significantly and those whose cars were parked in a grocery store parking lot nearby were able to take their cars home.

I suggest that someone post something like "because violence just begets more violence and because without guns there would *be* no more violence I propose that the White House,and the grounds around it,be declared a gun free zone" on that website.
"A little security": promised by a federal government that could, but will not, secure the states from invasion by savages, and in fact sues them when they seek to protect themselves. But the federal camel asks us to trust them, just for now ... ask the states about this camel and the tents they once occupied.

Any operation like this would be so sensitive and compartmentalized that the actors involved would most likely be "burned" (murdered to cover their tracks) at the conclusion of the assignment because if it leaked it would do irreparable damage to the administration's reputation. They would use the young field ops which are a little too naive to carry out the missions because they would feel honored to be asked to work on such a sensitive op not realizing they have to be burned at the end...
Obama, after having his rear end handed to him by Putin and will likely again and again and again might be getting desperate for a victory either at home, or abroad. Since we know abroad is the long shot — I’m guessing he’s going to keep the oppression on.
