The endorsements continue to roll in for Ted Cruz, who's also surging in the polls. Last week, two hundred faith leaders endorsed him for president. They were followed yesterday by actor and producer James Woods.
Woods -- who's best known for his roles in Once Upon a Time in America, Casino, and White House Down -- says he decided to support Cruz after a forty minute-long telephone conversation with the senator:

Woods went on to explain that Cruz could count on his support because he "has a strong posture in foreign policy and an unvarnished view of the domestic economic disaster that Obama has been." He added: "The recent tragedy in Paris affirmed that we cannot have a Commander-in-Chief who will sleep through a terrorist attack." Another reason Woods supports Cruz is his "steadfast devotion to conservative principles."

"Finally," Woods writes, "I found him to be truly down to earth. I believe he loves this country and like so many of us is appalled by the Obama debacle."

Earlier in the race, Woods endorsed Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of HP. He has now rescinded that endorsement (while saying he still greatly admires her) in favor of Cruz.
It's yet another sign that the Cruz campaign has taken off, and that most of the other candidates are now reduced to also-ran status.

No need to check whatever thread that is. Take it up with Ronald Reagan who talked about not turning the GOP over to liberals. I’ll go with his advice.
You won’t check that thread because you’ve been swatted with it before, and you didn’t like it.
As many times as you commented in that thread (not to mention the responses you got) I’d think you would want to save it for posterity.
I know I did.
“Before 911 on the same flight of first crash to LA. He reported suspicious behavior of several passengers to the FBI who blew him off.”
Yup, that is true.
Swatted by who? You? So? I don’t much care who or what ‘swats.’ You can swat away. Doesn’t change reality. And if you remotely think I care what a Romney sycophant supporting/excusing their bad choices three years later thinks, you are sorely mistaken.
You sound upset Norm.
Get back on the decaf.
I don’t drink coffee. Sorry.
Then try some Xanax and calm yourself down.
Your basic problem as I see it Norm, is that you and your ilk spend so much time fighting the LAST war, that you fail to get fully focused on THIS war, the one in front of us.
Were mistakes made in the last war? Sure. Were they made deliberately and maliciously by FReepers who wanted to do harm to our Republic? Oh hell no, and we both know that. Any damn fool can judge and condemn, but how constructive is that? Does your ego need some kind of stroking to assure you that “you were right and everyone else (including our Founder) was wrong?”
The gist of that thread I cited sure suggests that. You stated in that thread to JimRob that you disagreed with his decision but that you would “respect it”. So what is the point of this never ending barrage 3+ years later of DISRESPECT for your fellow FReepers who did nothing more than follow the lead of our Founder?
I have quoted former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld many times, in which he said “you go to war with the army you have, not the army you wish you had”, and in 2012, the only army with a chance of winning was the one headed up by the GOP ticket. I submit to you that those who chose to vote for that ticket were motivated not so much by what Romney stood for, but by their absolute opposition and hate for Obama, and even if misguided, they acted with the best of intentions. A smaller minority (including you) chose to be conscientious objectors and sat it out on the sidelines, and now have created a rhetorical cottage industry of accusing, lambasting and name calling those who chose to fight with the only political means available to them, which was the admittedly flawed GOP ticket. It’s all they had, they did the best they could with the choices before them.
Now we can continue this for as long as you want, but I will not accept your blanket condemnations and judgments of good and decent FReepers as ‘liberals’ and ‘RINOs’ all because you have failed to grant them the respect you graciously offered our Founder in that thread of 20 August 2012 when he reached one of the most difficult decisions to face him in recent years.
Cut the rest of those who followed his example some slack, ok? It would speak well of you.
Just so you know, I read as far as your second sentence. So you wasted a lot of typing for nothing.
I don’t care how you see it.
