The whole "transgender" issue hasn't shown up much on the presidential radar, but it did with Ted Cruz recently. In a radio interview, Cruz said:
... the Obama administration’s support for trans students amounts to “lunacy!”
“Look, these guys are so nutty that the federal government is going after school districts, trying to force them to let boys shower with little girls,” Cruz responded. “Now listen: I’m the father of two daughters, and the idea that the federal government is coming in saying that boys, with all the god-given equipment of boys, can be in the shower room with junior high girls — this is lunacy!”
“And I bet you there are a whole lot of parents — particularly parents of daughters — that are not eager to have the federal government saying, ‘Guess what? Your daughter has to shower with a boy, if he wants to be in there,'” Cruz continued....
“You know, the funny thing is, my 5-year-old knows there’s a difference between boys and girls,” Cruz quipped. “And yet modern Leftists can’t figure that out.”
I think it is fair to say that if Cruz is elected president, he will stop the federal government from putting pressure on schools to permit disguised boys to shower with girls. Maybe he will speak out more and explain that "transgenderism" is not a civil right, but rather a mental illness, because it's the culture, as much as the law, that needs to be changed. It's such a fundamental issue, and yet Cruz is the first major candidate to speak about it.
Can And yet I think this is a winning issue, as we saw in the recent "bathroom referendum" in liberal Houston. you imagine Hillary being forced to defend this policy in a debate?........

Pathetic that this is even an issue in our country.
But...here we are.

They know the difference and it burns them up. This proves there’s a God and they’re not Him. However, their lack of scruples proves we can’t live under the same set of rules or on the same ground. It’s time conservatives everywhere start thinking about that. By contrast, there are pretty much no conservatives anywhere who understand this. We still think we can get enough people elected, change a few laws and appointments, and get some sanity back. Nope, not as long as the godless can arbitrarily make laws that we all have to live under.
You know, conservatives keep getting suckered in nomination contests by candidates who appeal to our values, choosing carefully issues that have NOTHING TO DO with the office in question.
So, we get Bush who throws a “wonder working power” dog whistle into his State of the Union address, while wrecking the economy and wasting blood and treasure. And there are many other examples.
The President is not in charge of bathrooms.
While we’re running around trying to put out every little fire the left starts, they’re codifying their well laid plans for America. Bad legislation isn’t the problem, elections are not the problem, the American people are not even the problem. The problem is the left. As long as they’re free to speak, organize, plan, vote, work, teach, use their mods to make any demand they want, there will be no hope to return to sanity.
You understand what I’m saying? It’s time we conservatives stop being impressed with rhetoric like this. I like Ted Cruz and will vote for him and only him, I will do what I can to get people around me to vote for him, but we have a fundamental problem that is not being addressed by this.

These decisions are made by courts and local councils of idiots. Unless he can EO it, and the courts make it stick, it isn’t going to happen.
The comment about his 5 year-old daughter goes right to the heart of the issue.

The left is what it has always been. the problem is all the little dumbasses on the right that elect lesser evils at every opportunity that invariably help the left advance it’s cause.
All our provlems in america come down to exactly two things
1: Leftists/liberals
2: Right wingers that send them reinforcements rather than opponents.
If the left had an opposition it would accomplish nothing. Instead, we elect or attempt to elect Republicans that support abortion, gun control, crony capitalism, refuse to defend heterosexuality, support global warming idiocy and the rest.
Those people get into power because WE, not the left, elect them. They don’t just wander in on unicorns. A lot of liberals on FR have seven fits when that is pointed out. But it doesn’t change the truth of it. Want to end the problem folks?

You missed unchecked illegal immigration, which will finish us off forever, if nothing else does.
These kinds of statements are noble, but we all should know by now that 5 out of 9 corrupt political hacks at the USSC are the ones that make these decisions.
He is not but I want a president who is a moral person and can identify evil when it raises its head and take it on. One big problem we have here is someone sold the R’s that we should not get ducked into social issues. I agree on most but trans/queers in the bathroom is not social it is criminal in the least.
True. There really is no end to the extremes a Republican will go to empower a leftist agenda. Nor is there an end to the people willing to pretend that they aren’t.
But there’s hope. Physicists postulate that we in fact live in a spherical universe so logically, if they keep going further and further left every election, mathematically, eventually, they will end up on the right of Ghenghizzzzz Kahn.
We just need to keep our powder dry and not go off half cocked...But then...THEN feet will be held to the fire let me tell you!!!!
