Yep, the truth is Trump never said that. Cruz is being foolish on this and it will “bite” him.
Hey Ted, go after Rubio first!
What?
Cruz did not go after Trump.
Cruz was ASKED about it, and he simply said that he likes Trump and he didn't want registries for all of them.
It’s a real item, too. The first task of the Feds is to protect us. Ted got suckered in by the media and shot himself in the foot.
Yes, Trump did say it. It’s another example of Trump being really “green” on social/domestic issues and him showing a lack of understanding of the Constitution.
Yet the reporter went on to ask Trump directly, once again, about a database for Muslims, and Trump did not dismiss the idea.
Instead, when asked how to do it, Trump said: âIt would be just good management.â
Asked if those running it would have to go to mosques, he said: âDifferent places. You sign them up ⦠but itâs all about management.â
Cruz just hit Trump over something that he never said. Cruz ought to be ashamed of himself. I hope Trump hits Cruz hard.
Cruz is a class act. He never went after Trump. The media sure knows how to twist the truth and too many voters believe the garbage. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) refused to attack his 2016 opponent Donald Trump on Friday, despite a reporterâs persistent attempts to spark a war of words.
âIâm a big fan of Donald Trumpâs, but Iâm not a fan of government registries of Americans citizens,â he said when asked about Trumpâs remarks on the need for a Muslim-tracking database. âThe First Amendment protects religious liberty, and Iâve spent the past several decades defending the religious liberty of every American.â
When a reporter then pressed him on whether he was concerned about Trumpâs âmessagingâ as the frontrunner, Cruz shut down the line of questioning.
âListen, I like Donald Trump. I recognize the media would love to get me and other candidates to attack Donald Trump,â Cruz added. âThere may be other candidates who want to do that â I ainât going to do it. So, Iâll tell you my policy views, but I have no interest in attacking Donald Trump or, for that matter, attacking Ben Carson. Both are good men. And Iâm not interested in throwing rocks at either one of them
You’re right. I think he meant in essence that particular attention has to be paid to the muslim community because of the terror attack threat. Get eyes and ears into the community.
