Utah Rep. Mia Love announced her endorsement of Marco Rubio on Thursday, in the latest coup for the Florida senator among his congressional colleagues, highlighting her belief in his national security credentials.
Love, widely regarded as one of the Republican Party's rising stars, met with Rubio in her home state last month for a roundtable with business leaders and a campaign rally. The Utah Republican rose to prominence with her speech at the 2012 GOP convention, winning her seat in last year's midterm elections. The daughter of Haitian immigrants fleeing from the country's secret police, Love said she found much in common with the life story of the senator, whose parents immigrated from Cuba in the 1950s.
"When he came to Utah, I saw him inspire people," Love said in an interview with Fox News

She is a politician. Period. Trust her, like any politicians, at your own risk.
She ‘s not a sellout. She has her opinion. I disagree. We will only hurt our cause if we attack everyone who disagrees. This is not a big deal really. She is an asset overall.
those that are critical are mostly ignorant.
she has political debts, likely very large. they have been called
Mia is awful.
Love ran as a Tea Party conservative. Within a month of actually getting to Washington, she was towing the party line.
I’ll bet a hundred dollars that some establishment candidate took her under their wing the second she stepped foot into congress and she’s simply too young and inexperienced to stand on principles.
Everyone who doesn’t like (insert my candidate) is RINO scum, doncha know.
Meh I says, Rubs ain’t my boy but it’s not like she’s endorsing Jeb or Kasich. Rubs is a conservative who’s soft on immigration, which unfortunately includes a lot of Republicans, he’s not John McCain or Mitt Romney. I get that since he’s the #1 polling non Cruz/Carson/Trump candidate that he’s “the enemy” ‘round here, but he’s not.
Good thing she didn’t endorse Carson, that would probably have brought her some nasty comments from people that dislike him.
“...Her decision may not be yours, but it makes sense for her. And it doesn’t mean she’s a traitor or a bad person.”
********************************************************************************
Well, she may not be (or may be, I don’t know) a “bad person” but when she ran for office she held herself out to be a Tea Party candidate. She rapidly shed that persona upon being sworn into office. And, to those of us who voted for her and/or donated to her based upon her “Tea Party” themed campaign, she IS a traitor who, at best, misrepresented herself.
Strike two
If I remember right, Rubio was once LDS.
If I had to guess, that would likely explain this endorsement.
A coup?
Hardly.
Yup. Why Rubio? Why now? Because: sellout.
Quite a waste, really. She had promise, but it was just talk.
I’m certain you both remember how a bunch of FReepers were slobbering over Mia Love as a Second Coming(as usual without having done even a modicum of research on her). They did the same when Paul Ryan hit the stage. Ryan and Rubio never passed the initial “smell test” for me, and I wrote them of as “E-whores” It isn’t hard people, but background checks on the newest heroes works every time.
