I wish Jindal had not attacked Trump

I did not understand that, not at all. It had to be bad advice from a campaign advisor. Jindal is a pretty reliable conservative, and could've complimented Trump's strengths and weaknesses quite nicely.

It all seemed so snarky and out of character for Jindal.

JMHO

“I’m so disgusted with the so-called “leader” we have, especially when having to listen to how he “feels.””

Trump never said a word about his how he “feels”. He merely pointed out that he thought that Jindal was a nice person, despite his personal attacks against him.

“If you are born in the United States, regardless of your parentage, you are a “natural born citizen” and, thus eligible to be president once you have attained the necessary age.”

Are you being sarcastic? That is not what the amendment says.

Like it or not, Trump/Cruz may end up as the final presidential ticket, for the ‘16 GOP POTUS race.

Well in 12 months you can call him President Trump. Then complain when he cleans this country up and isn’t real nice about it. :-)

“when they respond”?

Jindal hit first.

Trump is such a thinned skinned privileged jerk that it’s hard to know where to begin. Trump has been more than a “little nasty” to his competitors every time he has had a chance to open his mouth. But that’s typical rich boy posing, because “my daddy’s got more money than yours.”

Maybe not. People think he timed his withdrawal announcement to damage Vitter’s chances Saturday. He would try to help out a democrat rather than a Republican in his tantrum.

I don’t recall Jindal going after Cruz when he bowed out of the campaign. If Jindal had I think you would have seen a different response from Cruz.

That’s because Sen. Cruz isn’t an egomaniacal madman.

The low point of Jindal’s whole life had to be when he made the crack about how Trump “looks like he has a squirrel on his head.” It was out of character, and it was weird and pathetic. It was as though Jindal was trying to imitate Trump, and it was just embarrassing.

As a favorite teacher once remarked to her class, being a "sore loser' is bad but being a "sore winner" is even more insufferable! I might be forced to vote for Trump but I don't consider him a gentleman in any sense of the word. Yes this is politics but Jindal is leaving the platform - why on earth feel the need to kick him in the backside as the door closes???

Some times looking behind the scene of gracious winners one sees a different perspective. Case in point, George H.W. Bushes book that reveals that he was gracious in front, but behind the scene he carried grudges.

We don't need gentlemen as leaders. We need people who are able to lead. That means not being nice sometimes. Usually the people who are offended by such behavior need someone to lead them because they don't have the motivation to produce on their own.

Saying that Jindal wasn't very nice isn't kicking him in the butt as the door closes. It's not being petulant, just stating a fact. Sometimes facts offend the sensitive of personality.

While Trump was busy building monuments to him self...
Cruz was fighting for your liberty.
While Donald was a registered Democrat donating money to the Obama campaign and the Clinton foundation...
Cruz was engaged in the defense of liberty and the free market economy.

Jindal suspends his candidacy and...
Cruz makes gracious comments about Jindal and his fight for liberty and the country...
Trump takes a parting shot and comments about how it affects the Donald and his feelings.

I'll side with Cruz, I'm not so interested in the United states of Trump. I hate tyranny, no matter which party controls it!

Do candidates’ names remain on primary ballots even though they drop out of the race?

***************

Good question but I think it is a state by state issue with regards to filing deadlines, etc.
I’m not sure which states if any have passed that deadline. I don’t know the answer but
I’m guessing it has many answers.

Jindal is a conservative. He was already to the point where he was hoping for a political miracle. trump is not a real conservative. So, all-in-all, he had nothing to lose.

I contributed to Cruz. On first impulse I was appalled that Trump was entering. I have accepted that he is in, that he does have his merits, and even that he stands to win the nomination and the presidency.

But it has to be said that there was even criticism of Reagan’s having been divorced by his first wife. We are accepting a remarried candidate without the slightest second thought. (compared to what we have now . . .) And that is just one example. Being proud of gaming the system with bankruptcy is another.

We are so desperate to get back to a normal which does not include blatant con artists in the White House, that a lot of otherwise beyond-the-pale actions are being, and will continue to be, overlooked.
