Hawaii Gov. David Ige says the state would welcome refugees from Syria with aloha.
Ige said in a statement Monday that Hawaii and the U.S. have a long history of welcoming refugees affected by war and oppression.
Ige spokeswoman Jodi Leong says it's too early to speculate on how many may come to Hawaii as the governor hasn't been contacted by President Barack Obama or his administration.
The governor says "Hawaii is the Aloha State, known for its tradition of welcoming all people with tolerance and mutual respect."
Ige says safety is his first priority. He says the U.S. accepts refugees only after conducting the highest level of screening and security checks.
Ige says Hawaii would work with the federal government to ensure the state has the resources to help refugees.
Hawaii is one of only seven states whose governors have said they would accept Syrian refugees following the terror attacks in Paris on Nov. 13.

Obama’s next move is to place these “refugees” onto military installations located in every state that opposes him. For Hawaii, that includes Hickam-Pearl and Schofield Barracks.
Why not. This damn State is all screwed up anyway. After these Syrian refugees turns out to be a few ISIS, hope they don’t shoot and bomb them up.
I’ve never gone for a vacation to that land. I will probably never undertake such travelling now.

You’ve got that backwards. Alaska was the solid Democrat territory (had not elected a GOP Delegate since 1930, and would not elect a House Republican until 1966 or to the Senate until 1968, and that only because the incumbent Dem died and Ted Stevens was appointed to the vacancy).
Hawaii (until the 1950s) was Republican and except for one instance in 1932, didn’t elect a Democrat Delegate from 1924 until 1956. Republicans didn’t want AK admitted and Democrats (especially Southern Dems) didn’t want Hawaii sending Asian Republicans.

The boob that we have in Washington state (Inslee) doesn't even invoke that requirement. He welcomes all (non-white, non-Christian) terrorists to our state, as long as they are potential dhimmicrat voters.
