President Obama suffered through a rotten, awful press conference on Monday, a new Supercut shows.
Obama addressed the world at the G-20 summit in the wake of Friday’s deadly terrorist attack in Paris.
There, the president announced his intention to stay the course on his current policy to contain the Islamic State with sporadic airstrikes. He then responded with increasing testiness as the media subjected that policy to withering scrutiny. Their questions are excerpted below.
JEROME CARTILLIER (AFP): The equation has clearly changed. Is it time for your strategy to change?
MARGARET BRENNAN (CBS): A more than year-long bombing campaign in Iraq and in Syria has failed to contain the ambition and the ability of ISIS to launch attacks in the West. Have you underestimated their abilities?
JIM AVILA (ABC): If I could ask you to address your critics who say that your reluctance to enter another Middle East war and your preference of diplomacy over using the military makes the United States weaker and emboldens our enemies?
JIM ACOSTA (CNN): This is an organization that you once described as a JV team, that evolved into a force that is now occupying territory in Iraq and Syria and is now able to use that safe haven to launch attacks in other parts of the world. How is that not underestimating their capabilities? And how is that contained, quite frankly?
RON ALLEN (NBC): ISIS’ capabilities seem to be expanding. … Do you think you really understand this enemy well enough to defeat them and to protect the homeland?
Painful news conference. Obama is trying to help the Muslims and doing an increasingly poor job of hiding it.
Gotta be bad news for BO when his friends are actually starting to question his motives.
This press conference was absolutely a terrible performance. Even the Dems are nervous.
“President Obama suffered through a rotten, awful press conference on Monday, a new Supercut shows.”
He took a real haircut, did he?
It almost sounds like some of the “professional” journalists who have facilitated BO’s insanity are starting to wonder.
That and 25 Governors saying no mo Muzzies. Sucks to be Barkey today. :-)
Bttt.
Now that they might be in danger they care enough to ask REAL questions? We know they have been covering his rear for years, now they want answers. Would not be here if they had asked real questions when he was running for the office.
They should ask him:
“Most Americans now understand that you’re the worst president in history. Oh wait, I’m supposed to ask a question?”
Reporter: You were deliberately late to the momemnt of silence. Why?
Was the pilot of AF1 late? Was the driver of your limo late?
Did you get lost on your way?
{”Now that they might be in danger they care enough to ask REAL questions”}
Suddenly they see it’s personal. Politics be damned.
Oh no, it's still political. The journalistic change is that Hollande is a true socialist...and Hollande is going to war.
The liberal news media is simply choosing between a lame duck who is unpopular at home versus a popular socialist who has global respect.
The news media expects to bully Obama into following Hollande's lead.
Where were the tough media questions when this guy was running for office? Too many ignored scandals since then to cut even the slightest bit of slack.
The media is complicit in these continuing atrocities & cover-ups. It’s too late in the game for a sudden burst of rational questioning to mean anything.
Notice the kid glove treatment of HildeBeast. They’re just bored with Barry, nothing more.
