Donald Trump said Monday he is capable of turning on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in their competition for the GOPâs 2016 presidential nomination.
âIf he catches on, I guess weâll have to go to war,â he told host Joe Kernen on CNBCâs âSquawk Box.â âWeâll see what happens but so far we havenât,â Trump continued. "Heâs been very supportive [and] we have a lot of the same ideas.
âWell, heâs been very nice and supportive of everything Iâve said, more than anybody else.â

Not a fair fight if and when that happens. Cruz has taken bad position and vote after bad position and vote. His recent flip-flop on H1B doesn’t erase his long-standing call for 500% increase, nor has he addressed the hypocrisy of giving Obama TPP and Iran fast tracks, then complaining about it. Cruz is an amnesty candidate as well, great stealth GOPe and CoC, but not ready for prime time. Heck, just look at that pathetic picture of him in ill-fitting suit standing next to Trump. What a joke.
He’s already floated a few people for VP, not including Ted. I don’t think there’s any kind of partnership.
Yep
“Donald Trump fighting Ted Cruz on policy would be like Pajama Boy fighting Floyd Mayweather in the ring”
Yeh especially when Teddy finally had to jump on the Trump bandwagon after Trump predicted a Trojan horse coming in with the Syrian refugees. Oh and now Teddy wants to deport people where he never did before. LOL!
Why don’t people READ the article instead of replying to a Headline generated to cause division. It was Ted Cruz who stated a few weeks ago stated sorry Trump but I’m going to be hitting harder and harder which he hasn’t really done yet. So everyone get their panties unbunched. Besides, if Cruz’s numbers don’t go up it’s all a moot point
I’m not so sure about that. Trump doesn’t strike me as being all that intelligent, and his self confidence is so high that he might think he can take Cruz out with his insult and miscarachterize strategy. Cruz is not going to let you get away with that.
They also can't say "you donated money to our candidate".
Candidates attack each other, of course. That’s how our system works.
When Thourobred horses are attacked, they circle up with heads inwards and kick out against the enemy. When jackasses are attacked they too circle up but with their heads outward - and kick each other.
So what do we have running for POTUS??
When they duke it out as the top two:
Trump will attack Cruz as too conservative and Cruz will attack Trump as too moderate. That will make both of them explain and refine their positions in a more meaningful way than usually happens in campaigns.
It would benefit both of them- slight advantage to Cruz as he would be appealing to the moderate voters he desperately needs.
And whoever comes out on top the Dems and GOPe lose.
People, this is politics, not a skit for Kindergartners. Of course Trump and Cruz will go at it eventually. Anyone who thought otherwise was living is a land of rainbows and unicorns.
Both men have big egos. You have to at this level in order to survive the scrutiny.
Both men think they are the best man for the job. You better, if you are running for the most powerful position in the world.
Both men think they would be better than the other. Duh. Or they wouldn’t the campaigning against each other. There would be someone dropping out and endorsing the other.
When we get to the end of the day, though, either Cruz will endorse Trump or Trump will endorse Cruz. But it will have to be a fight to get to that point.
He did say that if there became a real race between them, he'd obviously have to compete.
It's amazing how fast folks need a bathroom break when some idiot capitalizes on something Trump said out of Context.
After the events in Paris on 11/13, I will be adding
this to my posts for the next week. I'm certain our
turn is coming again soon. We stand united against
Islamic extremists.
Some music for reflection if the mood strikes you.

An honorable mention also goes out to Lassana Bathily , a Muslim immigrant from Mali.
Mr. Bathily sheltered customers at the Jewish Deli and helped police by providing info
on the terrorists, and providing the location of survivors in the deli.

Who do you want to be tomorrow? - Donald Trump
I choose Cruz. I cannot support Trump when he would not support Kim Davis. I just cannot do it. Trump’s idea of being supportive of Christians is promising to say “Merry Christmas.” That’s nice. It is just too symbolic and not substantive enough for me. Been there. Done that. Between those two, I pick Cruz. I like Trump for lots of reasons. I cannot vote for anyone who would not support Kim Davis.
That’s me. Everyone has their own scale. We all must choose as responsibly as we can.
“Disagree. Trumpâs intelligence is extremely high and on a much wider variety of subjects than Cruz. Cruz still has a lot to learn beyond his limited expertise, especially about so called FREE TRADE. He needs seasoning and can learn a lot under Trump.”
Right. Trump can teach Cruz how to impose tariffs.
I expect to see that front page on the NYT in 90 point type fairly often. Of course that will be ‘our’ fault somehow. because we noticed.
“Yo DT, a manâs gotta know his limitations.”
And not to listen to those that try to dictate his limitations.
I’m Cruz as well. But responsibility left conservatism 3 elections ago. See ‘Lesser evil/no matter what”.
OK OK.. How about may the best man for the situation win? ;-)
